  • It's always important to ask if there is any construction happening around the area... This is important no matter where you vacation.

  • That stinks! Problem is you never know what you're gonna get, our first trip they over booked we had no room! Booked in Jan for July...they finally gave us a room but already had people in it, back to the lobby and finally got a decent room. Sorry for your troubles, but now you have to ask is there any construction, and will they tell you the truth!

  • Just came from there yesterday, I always stay at the Rainbow tower because they have the best views.

  • you are supposed to be outside of your room. You should have stayed home if you wanted to stay in your room the whole time.

  • ..its not like youre supposed to be IN your room, while in Hawaii anyway! Thats why i dont spend more than $150 a night for a hotel....im never in room

  • We stay at Lagoon Tower every winter for 3 months. You should have checked out situation before booking. We Always ask about any future or current construction, renovation, water, electric issues. It is your responsiblity to be informed. I hope that you have learned from Your Mistake.

  • you are an ignorant woman! don't ruin peoples thoughts & feelings about their investments with Hilton, just because you are miserable.....

  • omg that sucks. hilton should give you your money back. $300 no way!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tisdaec Ya that would suck butt you should see it now.

  • Hey its very nice now, it was just too bad you were there when that happened.

  • LOL.. you could have complained to the point of them moving you to the Kalia, or Tapa Tower.. They probably would have given you a suite..

  • well maybe you should have checked for that before you booked it. failure on your part.

  • my favorite place to stay in honolulu, sucks you got stuck while they were doin the construction, its looks very very nice now though lol

  • What the heck are these people talking about? Hilton is supposed to rise to the occasion. When I book with Hilton I pay top dollar to not have to research and hope everything turns out. What a sham! Hope you got some compensation.

  • now its a great place with that new tower

  • We stayed there last year during constraction. We got GREAT upgrade ahead, we knew about noize. When in Hawaii you should be out during the day anuway, so... we didn't mind at all. As of matter of fact we purchased 1 week in Lagoon tower and we'll be there in one month! Aloha!

  • Duh! That was your choice to stay there during construction. When we were choosing to book our hotel, there was a note there that the Lagoon area is being renovated. So I find it hard to believe that you were not aware of the place being in construction. Have you heard of RESEARCH!
