Hey dude - was this taken from short-term car park??? I tried to do same and they kicked me out - bloody security measures - thanks al-qaedda - ruin things for everyone you b*****ds
Amazing video! I was actually on the jump seat in a 757 departing at around this time. I have never seen anything like it. As we took off the whole plane shuddered and the stall warning sounded! The cockpit-voice recording would have had me saying "f*cking hell!!"
Here is a BBC Report . Many places had severe gales and heavy rain on the 10th, with the south-west of England especially taking the brunt of this storm. There were gusts of wind in excess of 70 m.p.h. and some of the rain and showers were accompanied by thunder. some very squally winds were noted further south. Berry Head (Devon) recorded a gust of 82 m.p.h. on the 10th and Crosby (Merseyside) recorded a gust of 75 m.p.h. on the 12th.
okay i have to say it happened to me once and i thought it was a bit of a laugh then we did round 2 and i was like okay like it was good while it lasted i kinda want to get land so id be on time, then 3 and i was like okay what the fuck can we not just go to a different airport to land, then 4 okay im feeling a little sick and the grown man next to me crying has me nervous, 5 bumpy as hell the crying man becomes a sick man on my shoes and the fear of god is put in me, never again
26 and 08 although it does have 26r and 08l which is shorter and very rarely used and of course no good if the winds are 190 at 26kts plus!!But no other direction facing runway
Is that second BA 777 the same 1. Gone around twice. This is an amazing video, wish i was there, i'd love to see that many go-arounds. excellent and faved :)
I think this airport has to be closed in cause of this weather conditions. Its to scary guys. Look at Germany´s Lufthansa´s near Crash in hamburg ! Why almost people must die before humankind will react....
71 knots.. is over a hurricane :p ? 64+ is hurricane, and when i's hurricane airports are suppose to be closed (:

Planes are going around like crazy. I felt for that BA 777 that circled twice ( i think), though i could be another 777 from somewhere else.
DLB11071990 2 years ago
i don't believe it was the same one as you would not want to try that approach again, i felt for the passengers ,i would have hated it.
