and the second time should be done several hours later to flush out the toxin-filled bile, or it will just be reabsorbed. I suppose this is for people who are severely toxin filled... which i am.
2) so again... less than a liter? I put 3 tbs of coffee in 1 liter of water, but i'm supposed to refill it back up to a liter, which is impossible to put in at one time. would the nondiluted coffee mess me up?
3) where did you get your info so I can cross reference?
@jenniferlovesriii Since I don't know what your condition is or what you mean by "severely toxin", I will offer a general response to your questions, which are great by the way.
1) 1 liter = about 1 quart so 2 liters is more than I recommend for the avg person doing coffee enemas for maintenance or as part of a more structured detox program.
2) Don't understand. Are you asking how to make two separate batches of the enema? You just rinse out the pan, etc.
Hi, I just started doing this and have been getting information from a lady who taught me about Gerson therapy. I only can afford the enema, though. However, the info she has given me is a little different from what you are teaching ... but I like your info better. So here are my questions for you.
1) she says i have to do a whole liter 2 times a day. This is supposedly what Gerson recommends. I was looking on other sites and they mentioned why 2 times is important: once to release the bile
@learninjava Points 1-4 are great, btw. However, on point number five I totally disagree! Vaseline is a definite NO-NO. Petroleum based lubricants tend to cause way more irratition to the lining of the anus than water-based ones.
@supercell42 Hi, great question. No it doesn't and here's why: your body has a separate circulation system (enterohepatic) which contains the coffee between your liver and colon via the portal vein. The caffeine from a coffee enema doesn't affect your central nervous system. They are actually quite relaxing and can be done before bedtime without worry of jitters or insomnia.
What about the healing crisis? No one talks about that with coffee enemas. I did my first one last week and I felt on top of the world that day. The next day I felt like I had the flu with so many body aches. These are the symptoms of a healing crisis where you feel sick because your body is in detox and getting out the toxins.
@myvocalpower Hello, the "healing crisis" is a very individual thing. The reason it was not mentioned in the video is because I do coffee enemas in conjunction with a 7 or 14 day detox program. I don't feel any specific negative side-effects (healing crisis) from the coffee enema itself. It actually makes me feel better. This is not to discredit your experience rather to highlight the point that everyone will have a different reaction.
@SunsetRC That's times 2. You should have approx 3 cups of coffee after the boil off, you split that into two 1.5 cup batches in case you have any challenges holding the enema for 12-15 minutes. Hope that helps.
@TheBadAssKiller Thank you for your detailed comment! While the Gerson Institute primarily focuses on alternative cancer therapies (which coffee enemas are certainly part of, but not exclusive to), the purpose of this video was to introduce coffee enemas for detoxification purposes only. Filtered water and coarse ground coffee will suffice for most casual users.
Anyone know the right dosage for colon cancer patient who had colectomy done (part of colon removed by surgery) ? Shorter colon length should not have the same amount enema as normal person.
@housemond Thanks for your question. I guess this is really a question for your physician or gastroenterologist since I don't know exactly how much (in inches) of your colon was actually removed. You are correct in the assumption that less coffee should be used, but I am not qualified to recommend a specific amount.
@jaisonmgreene Hi im working up the courage to try a coffee enema its would be my first.. is it difficult to retain the fluid for the 10 minutes first time?
@FletcherHabit Coffee Enemas are pretty easy (and relaxing) once you get the hang of it. I always recommend first doing a water enema before the coffee so you can get used to retaining fluids. You should have no problem holding it for 10-12 mins once you're used to the sensation.
@derDeutscherMann92 Either or is fine. You can change positions while retaining the enema as well. Do what's most comfortable, you'll still receive benefits.
How often is this procedure to be followed? I understand it must depend on whether it's used for a specific concern or just to improve general health - so what's the rate of application you recommend in each case?
@teddy0072 Great question! i would say 2x week for general health. If you're addressing a specific concern or as part of an internal cleanse/detox 3-4x week max. For Gerson therapy, I would consult with the recommending practitioner. Hope this helps!!
@teddy0072 It's not necessary to use two batches, however, most first-timers need to adjust to the sensation of having an enema. They are unable to hold the first batch for the 12-15min period. The second batch is often more successful.
I also recommend doing a water enema before the coffee for the very same reason.
If you want to DETOX your body, then why not use what they use in hospitals to save your life if you have TYLENOL POISONING? Go to webmd or google or wikipedia and learn about n-acetylcysteine, and how it increases your GLUTATHIONE levels to save your liver and your life!

@madmanatsea Why not use both? NAC is a great Glutathione precursor. Not everyone feels the same way you do about coffee, but your allegiance to the virtues of a '5 cups of Joe daily' is appreciated.
@MrsBooker100 Great question! Doing the water enema will clear out any waste in your rectum while greatly increasing your ability to retain the coffee enema for the 12-15 minutes it takes to be effective. It's not a requirement.
Can anyone help me? I read on the Internet that if it is your first time you should do a clear water enema so I did, lay in the position with my knees bent and I couldn't even do it for a minute, it hurt so much! Not my rectum but my stomach, did I do something wrong. I have gall stones so believe me my pain threshold is high but it really hurt! Any thoughts?
Thank you so much! The websites are a little confusing, saw the kits but the explanations almost made me give up so thank you very much, wish me luck!
What brand of organic coffee did you use? Is there a better brand than the other? So it needs to be organic medium brew course ground? Will it say all that on the bag?
@thetimeisnowtowakeup My recommendation would be not to add anything to the basic recipe. And just a word of note: Taking glutathione supplements in the form of oral glutathione, glutathione pills, L-Glutathione, or reduced glutathione will not raise your glutathione because your body cannot absorb the molecules. To raise your glutathione through food, you must eat or consume the precursors or building blocks glutamine, glutamic acid and cysteine so your body can make it on its own.
Can I use any type of coffee or does it have to be a particular one? and the one pot of coffee that you prepare is good enough for one bag or will that fill two bags?
@Amyous Organic coffee is a must. The brew should be at least medium strength, coarse ground. The recipe in the video is intended to fill one bag which is enough for two applications of the enema.
@cyndisong28 You can check bigger pharmacy chains as well as medical supply stores. You want to ask for a hot water bottle with the hose and nozzle attachment.
Do I have to lay on my side(in the fetal position) during the entire 15 min? Or is it ok to lay on my stomach? If i have to lay on my side, and i decide to do it twice in a row, should i lay on my other side on the second time? or does it matter?
@Zundwig Great question! I recommend either flat on your back or or either right/left side. I've never tried it on my stomach, I would think it would cause slight nausea, but experiement and see if you can manage comfortably. What matters most is that you can hold the coffee solution for between 12-15 mins.
Quick question. How long does the whole enema process take? It usually takes about 10 minutes for the coffee to empty my bucket. Do I then hold the coffee in for another 15?
@Inveracity91 Hey there, you are correct about the timing. In the video I explain that a best practice is to give yourself the enema in 2 equal batches of approx 1.5 cups each (12 oz.). By your calculations above it would be about 50 mins, give or take a few.... Hope that helps!
@express375 Yes, you will still detoxify your liver with a coffee enema with or without a gall bladder. However, caution should be taken when first attempting the enema for any adverse reactions.
boiling increases the flourine in your water unless you used some other system to get rid of it, and I know with the juices that you drink for example should be made and consumed straight away (i think so you don't lose the minerals & also so the micro-organism bacteria don't set in which can happen if you leave it and this is also why you should clean a juicer straight away) anyway if juices need to be consumed right away then shouldn't the coffee be used right after it is cool enough to do so
@MsMagicalMermaid The 10-stage water filter I use (in the video) filters out most, if not all, contaminants and dangerous heavy metals. If flourine (floride) is a concern, perhaps using steam-distilled water will be better for you.

@razzyripple Yes, you will still detoxify your liver with a coffee enema with or without a gall bladder. However, caution should be taken when first attempting the enema for any adverse reactions.
@jaisonmgreene What do you mean caution for adverse reactions? is there gonna be negative side effects from doing coffee enemas? have you had any bad reactions to it? plz let me know so i can prepare myself
@ndrnas I've personally never had an adverse reaction to the coffee enema. They are actually quite relaxing. However, it would be irresponsible on my part not to mention the possibility of an adverse reaction given the fact that everyone's body has a unique different chemistry. What works well for one person can have a totally different effect on the next person. People need to be aware of all the possibilities before attempting a new procedure.
Excellent! Finally, someone who takes you step by step and answered all questions about detox! Saw the new design - looks good - thanks very much for the info!

I am looking into this i think some good points would be:
1.) organic coffee no pesticides on it etc
2.)sterile equipment (obv)
3.) sauce pan also needs to not have been cleaned with fairly liquid and such as i think those chemicals that cld also be damaging to the body.
4.) same for the measure utilities etc.
5.) Vaseline will help lol

Awesome vid. Love organic coffee enemas, but for the past three months have used H2O2. If you haven't tried you'll be surprised.

what if you dont have a gall bladder? Will this still work?
razzyripple 1 year ago

Thanks for showing this. I do find the constant advertising a bit annoying. Perhaps just put it at the end.
