  • i had this song stuck in my head for the last 5 minutes before i actually remembered the name

  • where's the lyrics???

  • I can't help but feel so much emotional absence when i hear The Commodores tribute Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson in this perfectly sung/written song. Those huys would be so proud of this. A Masterpiece commemorating masters.

  • most touching tribute I have ever heard, for one of the greatest artists

  • I work the night shift and we play this song every night

  • @Soloespresso corny

  • Marvin and Jackie are still with us. They are not leaving!

  • Why do people want to get their comment liked to the point they say "Like if X commercial brought you here" Am I missing something?

  • @krewrules New tv shows are introducing young people to this great music by using it in scripts. What a great thing that they can have this experience, all the the great acts from years ago...before the world got so messed up.

  • beautiful song

  • I think this and 'Three times a Lady' have to be their best 2 songs. Love them both.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • like if pawnstars brought you here

  • 12-4 midnight cop oh yea retired now but this rules & so dont Crown Vics Fords

  • Five stars. Period.

  • Ah the 80s, when all the guys were suspect. LOL. Classic groove though.

  • JACKIE!

  • Love it takes me back to yesterdays. They just don't sing them like that anymore....

  • nice the best

  • First heard this song stacking shelves for a major supermarket on, what else, 'the nightshift'. Only now do I understand the songs subtleties and the fact that the lyrics don't really have anything to do with what I thought they did back them. Regardless, still hum it at the beginning of each nightshift and will be again on 01 Jan 2012 because it is TIMELESS. Thanks for the company on those long nights!

  • Marvin, he was a friend of mine And he could sing a song His heart in every line Marvin sang of the joy and pain He opened up our minds And I still can hear him say Aw talk to me so you can see What's going on Say you will sing your songs Forevermore (evermore) Gonna be some sweet sounds Coming down on the nightshift I bet you're singing proud Oh I bet you'll pull a crowd Gonna be a long night It's gonna be all right On the nightshift Oh you found another home I know you're not alone
  • Real music

  • RIP. Mummy, Daddy, Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Betty, Uncle Roger, Uncle Phil, & my brother-in-law's Doob & Jerry. I miss you all, & you are all still loved more than words can express. Some of you I never had the privilege of knowing, but I am truly honoured to be a part of you! Looking forward to the day when we will all be together! xoxo

  • This is one of the first songs I remember hearing.

  • Gta vice city stories

  • I remember driving down US 1 from Miami to Marathon Key at 1 am listening to this haunting song. Marvin Gaye's "Can I Get a Witness" was one of my favorites and Jackie Wilson's "Baby Workout" was another.

  • Rhhhhaaa !!! la voix de Lionel Richie, c'est quelque chose.

  • I miss you Marvin Gaye !

  • the best of 80's inresistable

  • even an old long haired rocker loves this song

  • @djwolf12 me to

  • I love this song and the Commodores... but the dude on the far left may be striking the gayest pose of all time.

  • @RyanKBoman HaHaHa, you got that right, but gay people probably like this song too & that brings them in.

  • @RyanKBoman and he also has the highest voice in the group too.

  • @RyanKBoman hahahahahahahaah ;)

  • This is one of my favorite songs of all time!

  • First and only major hit for the group without Lionel Richie. OBTW, we miss you Jackie Wilson and Marvin Gaye. God rest their souls.
