  • Radioactive or no arms?

  • at the end the fish who comes is like "what the fuck?"

  • The person who is trying to grab it is an absolute retarded faggot

  • is this real

  • What is a "Ghostnet"?

Why can we not see what is happening?

  • @robertgift a ghost net is a fishing net that gets lost and continues to catch fish for years and years..its a shame really..very destructive...

  • @wizwow77 Thank you, Wiz.

Too bad that Lobspert (Derek?) is too stupid to explain what a ghost net is in the place that it should be explained.

  • THEIR DOING THAT D: my poor country!

  • im a lobster fisherman in todays industry we have biodegradable mesh to prevent ghost fishing if a trap is lost

  • @ledhead1000 In Canada our gov't officials are corporate puppets too corrupt to recognise destructive fishing gears or ocean habitat destruction. Great tip however!

  • @LOBSPERT sooo canada does polute the ocean?

  • @LOBSPERT You are not alone. In the USA our politicians are equally as corrupt and out of touch with the People's will. The politicials are a bunch of idiot-elitist out to expand their control over us at any cost. They make nets to catch scummy politicians? Society would be better off with a thousand corrupt politicians where that lobster is. Peace.

  • r u in a submarine or Wat ?

  • Looks like Canada isn't so perfect after all.

  • Like the USA, Canada is plagued with hideous ghostnets too killing and killing as we speak. Thanks

  • this is a result of gill netting, which is not a form of lobstering. Lobster catching itself is very safe and eco-friendly. gill-netting is aweful because of the by-catch (the species of no market value that are thrown back after strangling to death by the net)

  • yeah they arent. look at what they do to baby harp seals... look it up online. canadians kill baby harp seal pups at only weeks old and they do it by bashng their heads in with sticks, then they skin them sometimes when they are still alive and wiggling. poor babies. Look up annual canadian seal slaughter.

  • @happysomeday09 why dont you tell him to also look up the canadian department of fisheries and oceans(DFO) regulations that state it is illegal to kill baby seals.and has been for over twenty years...at one time the seal hunt was extremely cruel and was not regulated very well..it since has been..but animal rights groups continue to collect millions in donations every year so they now rely on propaganda to support their cause...look up some videos of pig and lamb slaughtering..double standard.

  • you guys in a submarine?

  • worst cameraman ever! :D wtf u wanna show with this shit?

  • Huh did the lobster fall apart?

  • that fish at the end was like: hey, what's going on?

  • Arguing on Youtube. You guys are cool.

  • lot of inhumane practices, helping to feed the world, not one of em.

  • wow GeorgieZillaFan u are the first person i have heard mention pollution when it comes to fishing discussions, good job. but i know u hav not done ur own research on fish and animal populations. just going by what u hav heard and what people want u to believe. if lobspert cares so much for the environment i wonder did he clean up the net. probably not. not mine i ain't cleaning it up. yes lost nets do kill. but only one lobster. doesn't seem like massive destruction two me.

  • If I could of I would of and its from the The States anyway. Gillnets are cruel and inhumane and we all should be ashamed that we continue this hideous practice. Shame!

  • rofl see on the fish he watch how these humans do lolz

  • dam that thing is big

  • i cant see shit

  • if u said that where i live u would probally be swimming with the lobsters right now asshole

  • You would murder someone that reveals the marine crimes that you committ each day. Likewise parasite and disgrace!! Anytime lady!!

  • Then where do you get the next lobster from Jethro??

  • The grocery store, like every other person on earth who's not hell-bent on trying to ruin a food group for somebody because they think they have a little insight on the topic. Honestly, you're not making a difference, if anything my lobster is going to taste that much better knowing it's offending you.

  • Whn she says where do you get the next lobster i think she meant after there are none left. lol besides if it gets killed by soem tray net in the ocean then i guess you can't eat it anyways, unless you enjoy eating carass rotted shellfish.

  • Yes. Too bad we are killing everything in the sea :(

  • do either of you have any sort of grasp of how absolutely massive the ocean is? I understand how unnecessary it is to overkill the way some of these fishermen do. And i understand how we feel the need to interject ourselves to balance it out... but i really don't need you tugging my balls every time red lobster has a special.

  • Massive, maybe. Delicate, most definitely. Just because something is massive, doesn't mean it's impervious jackass.

  • It only takes a sense of time to realize how insignificant we are compared to earth's existance. it's cliche to say at this point that we're a disease, if the earth doesn't want us here, it'll act accordingly. You're quick to forget we are animals and natural preditors. Nothing we can possibly create could ever be considered un-natural. Although it seems you're a bit stubborn about your opinions, we're truly not that important. And i hope with time you'll realize what an idiot you've been

  • Wrong again idiot. There are plenty of things in this world that are considered un-natural. Meaning they don't occur naturally. When or where did I mention anything about disease you jackass? Just go scuba diving in some of the world's oceans and you'll see how widespread human destruction is in all our oceans. I never tried to argue human existence as important either. If you want to debate someone jackass, then you should stick to the points you've already made.

  • A key points in debating is to not lose your temper, if this could even be considered a debate, you've already lost. I just want you to realize that no matter what we do as people could ever be considered un-natural, even bombs are all made from nature. It's just us utilizing nature. Therefore by you saying they occur "un-naturally" is to disconnect humans as part of the progarm. I'm sure you see it differently because we simply just dominate that much. But we'll pass like anything else.

  • Of course what we do is un-natural, just cusz we're animals, too doesn't mean we can do anything we want an call it natural. We have somethuing animals don't have...the ability to chose and think, so that separates us from real nature. We are not part of nature anymore. What humans are part of is a little thing called civilization. We ARE a disease, and if we don't stop overfishing and overkilling and polluting an all that shit, than NOTHING will happen accordingly you retard.......\/

  • It takes one idiot to know another idiot but who may i ask is the better idiot?

No one.. if you ask me just a pointless battle that no one will ever win... why bother trying to add logic to it...

  • hbeefk11379 I'm with you on this one. headlightsunderwater is an asshole.

  • Hahahahahaha

  • I'm glad these nets are cutting down on the lobster population. Research shows that these dangerous animals are quickly invading the Midwest and we will soon find them living in our swimming pools.

  • mmmm i best get my cooking pot out then !

  • forget that, get a jacuzzi!

    instant boiler >:D

  • @plantoranimal AHAHAHAH

  • its evolution the stupidest animals die because they dont know not to tangle themselves up in it survival of the fittest

  • Yes. We are stupid thats for sure. Too bad that people don't care about ghostnets killing innocent marine life in the ocean. Too bad:(

  • they are not innocent they are guilty of the crime of stupidity which is punishable by death in the natural world and that is what happens see all the smart fish swam around it and didnt die.

  • The dumb fish should have the internet like us smarter forms right smart dude frewcc. I'm implying you are really really dumb too in case you don't get it the first time :)

  • well youre dumb because what you said doesnt even make sense

  • It take a dummy to know a ...

  • Wait..."they are guilty of the crime of stupidity which is punishable by death in the NATURAL WORLD"

Now I am by no means a nature freak or anything like that, but I don't think that ghost nets are native to the Atlantic. You are probably a 14 year old that thinks he is smart because he is arguing on Youtube...congratulations.

  • yes but they are still dumb in teh natural world there is change all the time humans came from nature and we brought change back to it. see the smart animals can swim around it and not get caught that is how evolution will support them

  • Who are the retards the people or the fish? Your intilect is so so low that you don't come across well! Huh??

  • the fish that get caught are dumb and the ones that dont get caught are smarter its survival of the fittest. i dont think you speak english

  • I wish I had your intellect and obvious intelligence....NOT!!

  • that's a redundant statement, go to college

  • LOBSPERT, when this many people are calling you out. You really have to think for a second... maybe you don't have it all figured out, you ARE that asshole. So please stop with the awful puns and get with the program.

  • People from the Gulf of Maine.

  • we need to save our marine life!!! i support this!!!! is that you in the video?? who is the girls voice in the video???

  • better not find any abalone shells at your house!

  • I believe that marine life should not be harvested for pet food, sombody please make a law about this.

  • i dont know how someone could walk up to a baby fur seal and club it to death, those people dont have a heart the seal just looks at you as you walk up to it and they whack its head in...those people are the scum of the human race...

  • These scum people that mindlessly bash baby wild animal's heads in are my MLA, federal MP and the Prime Minister of Canada. Vote Green to help Canada please!!

  • If someone does it for food, then its fine. As long as they eat it all. If someone does it for some merchandise item for some rich spoiled 35 yo old women to wear, then they should be thrown in jail. And the lady who buys the dead animal.

  • so sad, with they would have grabbed that gost net and removed it , so very sad

  • Any contact with a ghostnet by a fish, bird, mammal or RV would certainly be fatal. That's why Canadaians have to kill the last of the baby seals to bring the great fisheries back??

  • knew that abandoned nets were killing sea life but didn't realise the Canadians were blaming seals for the destruction,

oh well we get the same thing in the uk

badgers are blamed for spreading TB in cows by farmers,

but its just as likely TB is spread by cattle and birds who feed on their droppings.

now the farmers are pressing for a massive badger cull,

noting to do with the huge hormone injections they give the cows to boost milk production weakening the cows immune system is it eh

  • I bet you all that Canada and Canadians are more corrupt than UKers. It's too bad that corruption is ruining jobs, the air, the water, the ocean and Canada as a country. I do fight the Canadian criminals that are profiting from all this crime!! Nobody to blame.

  • currupt the whole world is corrupt. We all live in nations with leaders that all have the same plan New World Order.

  • This is madness

    Madness?

    This is Seafood

  • Yes. Ghostnets are cruel and inhumane and must be banned and retrieved now. The madness is that we blame and kill seals in Canada ????

  • True.You make a great agruement

  • ......we do?

Lived here my whole life and didn't know that.

  • Look and learn dude!!

  • and you win a goldfish, or a teddybear?

  • but all marine life that comes in contact with our ghostnets needlessly dies and long protracted death with unimaginable suffering :( Never eat ghostnetted seafoods please.

  • so funny lol

  • Funny part? a lobster claw tool after a lobster claw.. AND IT CANT PICK IT UP!// lol

  • ok all i saw was the claws GOD DAM IT LOBSTERS LOSE CLAWS ALL THE TIME THEY GROW BACK!!!!! I SHOULD KNOW IM LOBSTER FISHERMEN AND MY DADS A MEMBER OF THE PEIFA AND USED TO BE THE PRESADENT!!!!! p.s not presadent of usa the presadent of the peifa

  • its a lobster u dumb asses shit how stupid can people b?

  • Yes. I think the other viewers that called the lobster claw a crab is smoking something or something :)

  • We call 'em lobsters in Canada and we call crabs crabs in Canada. I suck and you are soooo dumb!!

  • Hmm its a little hard ot keep the camera stedy when you are underwater ya dumbass and it is a lobster

and if ya american just go eat some hotdogs and get fat liek americans are

    Des

  • americans do eat hot dog idiot lots of people eat seafood. all americans arent fat. and this isnt about eating it is about nets left at the bottom of the ocean!!

  • I live in New England and This Lobster is making me hungry Seafood are the best.

  • well where should i start i guess 1st keep the camera still 2nd thats a crab and 3rd u suck

  • That insn't a Lobster Besides u couldn't even keep the camera steady to even see the dang thing ill believe it when the Camera is in Position :)

  • way to keep deleting my posts.

  • I mean you have it labeled as a lobster, it obviously isn't.

  • Have you even been on a fishing boat before? Hell you think a rock crab is a lobster, and the only video you can find for ghostnetting is american. You don't have much of a case going on.

  • A crab is not a lobster. I have experience catching american lobsters here in Canada. Keep thinking and someday you may evolve into a being with higher brain functions than a crab and then you can ask them about ghostnets. Does your parents know what you are saying to strangers on the internet?

  • Also to mention, grey seals DO kill countless number of cod and several other types of fish simply for game.

  • Canadian grey seals conspired with Bush and Binladen and committed 911 too your saying?

  • You're kidding me right? We might of been up in the stone age up to the collapse of the newfoundland cod fishery but the DFO has millions poured in for marine science research since then. Please do your studies before you make such statements.

  • You do know that ghostnetting is mostly because of foreign fishing boats in Canadian waters right?

  • These are American ghostnets in US waters. I don't have any video of Canadian ghostnets killing Canadian marine life. We are still in the pre-Stone-age in Canada when it comes to marine science so thats why I do what I do. Thanks for your keen interest nonetheless :)

  • Hi kontinental. Are you are ghostnetter?

  • caps lock, idiot!

  • A LOBSTER ISN'T A CRAB

  • CRAB ISN'T A LOBSTER, except that I agree.
