I see the BPs like the holy men, who wanted to be fighting clergians without quitting on the church's affairs, so they became part of the high clergy with maces and stuff :D
For me, monks are like battle acolytes who chose the monastery over the high clergy, in order to train their spirit and mind for advancing into being amazing complete warriors to fight against evil.
Long story short, I think of battle priests as high clergians (sacristhy, cardinals, bishops) and monks as... well, monks (guys who train in isolated mountains and stuff).
You don't need to agree wit me, of course... That's just the way I like thinking of it.
I think the MG type is only for undeads and demons, it is so bad in PVP, hardly ever someone has evil druid, much better if you use pure Adoramus and Judex.
The Crit is so good in PVP, those 1'7k + ur buffs + good weapon + DUPLE LIGHT = Pwned. Really good.
I find melee one useless, much better if you're critical one. Much more damage.

@pmoxin secrament decreases casting time. but its not like suffgarium. it actually stays there even after casting a skill.
