Honestly, you should try the caulk gun. It's meant to make using the tubes a lot easier. You might not struggle with it so much. Just take a chance. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work how you want it to, right? :) You might be pleasantly surprised, too!

I use the DAP Kwik Seal all the time for decoden and I haven't had any issues with it being runny :( I wonder why? Maybe it needed to be kneaded? I haven't seen it be runny at all. Weird.

Really cute Rina. Something else that you can maybe use instead of cabochons is erasers? The dollar store sells some pretty adorable erasers shaped like little cookies and cupcakes, high heels you name it. I collect them and they're pretty cute, lol

I started this new addiction about 4 months ago ... Gave a lot away for Christmas but took pics of all of them first... I should make a slide show vid :). The hardest part is finding the kawaii deco cabochons... :) squeeze the big monster into a good pastry bag with a screw on tip... That's the easiest! ;) ~Tam

The gun you call "industrial" is just used so that you can keep a constant pressure to run a line of caulk around (the tube persay). The tubes also come in the ones you can squeeze by hand .. the bottom of the tube is just srimped where the ones for the gun are made with a "push up" pop design. Great idea though.

Rina, you could also get white air dry clay or "pluffy" clay and use a toothpick to make a texture in it.

Super cute R! OMG I LOVE Decoden. I feel in love with it ever since I got into 3D nail art and love it. I especially love the cute mini chocolate bars and ice cream cones. I even have the chocolate bar silicone mold for my nails. heehee It's super addicting and you're going to be hooked. I LOVE it!!!

Okay I have no idea what a decoden is lol when I read the title i thought you were trying to spell decadent lmao. Here in ghetto butt hole of the world Alberta don't see many decodens lol but it is a super cute project. My MIL decorates cakes she would probably kill with the silicone tube hehehe.I will have to do some decoden searches. Scrubby has one of those bad boy silicone jobs they do take a bit of practice to operate lol.For some weird reason I am craving whipcream and chocolate lol! TFS
