Looks like you've filmed the ISS twice, albeit unwittingly.
I put the state vector into Heavensat 2.4.1. For that pass, it predicts ISS entered the earth's shadow when it was overhead and had about a 2-min visible portion, consistent with your observation. It would have stayed visible longer if just after sunset.
ISS is bigger than a football field and its shape can be discerned with binoculars. Try it next time.
Even cooler is a rendezvous which appears as two lights flying in formation
as much as your unwilling to accept that this was not the ISS, Im not crazy, and im not uneducated. listen.......... This wasnt the ISS it wasnt even in orbit it was directly above the city and then it came directly above me it acted more like a helicopter accept it was silent and helicopters dont dissapear in less than 10 seconds at a 90 degree angle from you im not full of shit this video is real this really happend im serious
Look at NASA's realtime ISS prediction website. There are similar passes like this regularly over your region and they are bright enough for others to record on video. Once you realize what you are seeing, it's not unusual.
I will try the data in another software program that models the Earth's shadow and see where ISS would have disappeared for 21Aug2011. It was nearly 2 hours after sunset for that observation, so the earth's shadow was likely fairly high in the sky.
@jigglar good luck with that..... ill try to get a video of the ISS... accept my camera doesnt capture enough light for something that far away and that small in the sky..... ive tried
I obtained the state vectors for the International Space Station accurate for 21Aug2011 from an archive at the space-track website and put the data into the satellite tracking software WXtrack 3.8. It shows that there was an ISS pass nearly directly overhead for Regina, Canada at 10:45p local time on 21Aug2011. The pass was roughly from WNW to ESE with a maximum elevation of about 78 deg.
@jigglar the ISS orbits at lowest 330 km above the earth..... im talking about an object that was about 6 km above me i know the difference between something in orbit and something flying overtop of me..... so even if the ISS was even in the sky i would not have seen it cause it was sooo far away compaired to a glowing ball which silently traveled towards my direction and Stopped directly above me!!!! THIS IS NO JOKE i am not ignorant to what is the norm, so trust me this was unusual!
Another person here commented about a similar observation of an object that faded and turned an orange color as it disappeared. That would be consistent with the earth's atmosphere making the light reflected off the satellite appear an orange color just before it enters the earth's shadow, similar to how it makes the moon appear orange during a lunar eclipse when the earth's shadow impinges on the moon.
@jigglar the object i saw was only a few thousand feet above me! i lost sight of it when i was recording it go over top me but as i looked at the video after i realized when i was pointing the camera directly above me searching for it( near the end of the video) i caught it dissapearing at a 90 degree angle from my position!!!! watch the video closely it was moving fast across the screen and then it stopped DIRECTLY above me, hovered for a moment and then it took off in like 4 seconds!!!!!!!!!!
@elevenhooks I'll try to look up the state vectors of the International Space Station in an archive for the date you observed this to see if there were any visible passes over your region. What's in the video looks similar to an ISS pass.
There aren't any stars visible in the video to see the trajectory of the object relative to stars when the object faded.

Sometimes satellites behave that way. They look like the headlight of a plane and don't have any blinking lights. They sometimes will disappear within a couple seconds as they enter the earth's shadow, making it appear that they took off vertically away from the earth.
Other times they are in the earth's shadow and then exit it, which makes it look like an object suddenly came out of nowhere from outer space.
The International Space Station can be quite bright sometimes.
It's all that xylene in the spray bombs you use,it's having a serious effect on the part of your brain that actually "thinks" approx 6km above the city and you measured this how ??? and vanished into Space and you watched this ??? Your just another Nut-Job to blind to think !!!
The night of my art show, December 10, 2011 at the fainting goat, the same glow ball was insanely massive, situated above wascana park. A car with satan repetitively written in the dust pulled up before I did in the parking lot. The driver ran into the restaurant and I never saw him exit. Regina is under some strange forces right now. I'm glad to be out of that city.
the light moved smoothly across the sky, that was my hand being alittle unsteady. once the object was above me it stopped moveing horizontally, paused for a moment and then made a 90 degree turn straight up and out of sight in lest than 10 seconds
Yea like a ship ot this magnitude and velocity would move so erratic...............looks like a laser pointer directed at a black backgroud, if aliens are real and in space why would they bounce around like a rollercoaster, i think they would have much better control of their crafts
saw something very similar over saskatoon august 24th. this moves a lot more/faster but otherwise very similar. saw it in the south western sky as well. what i saw moved in more of a straight line, but with sporadic movements thrown in. it was the same size/color as surrounding stars. it then started to get smaller, then it turned orange and faded into nothing. i never considered that it could have been going higher.
sadly i did not get any videos or pictures. too stunned to grab camera.
We saw something like that last summer in the southern sky - lasted a long time and there were 4 of us watching. We were in northeastern Sask at the time. We didn't tape - just watched.
