I was so scared of these when I was little (probably because of the Gremlins movie). My cousin brought one to my house that had a suction cup on it to make it stick the the window. So I wouldn't have to look at it, I put the Furby in the window and shut the blinds. We left in in there or 2 weeks and the sun made all it's "fur" fall off. It looked even scarier that way. @Caleb9849 Yes, she DOES say it. Furbies back then were a LITTLE similar to Gigapets, except instead of being a little handheld console, it's an animatronic toy that responds to being touched, and also responds to light and sound, increasing the realism.

I recall the boxes that the original Furbies came in (1998-2000) said "THE FIRST GIGAPET YOU CAN REALLY PET!" on them

I got an actual Furby through a White Elephant Gift Exchange last Christmas... I was SO psyched because I never had one before. Best ten minutes of the entire year. Then I gave it to my dog. Sometimes I regret doing that and I really miss the dang Furby.. Other times I remember how annoying it suddenly got after those first ten minutes. "Ahh... emeee ooohhh!" "SHUT UP!" And my friend's family (the original owners of the Furby) loved the video of its death.

@shadowlover1996 I used to have 3- 2 normal ones and a baby furby. The first one I had, which was brown with black spots, glitched up and the sound wouldn't work. The second one, a teal-colored one, and the baby one I gave away since I didn't play with them anymore. The brown one rotted away in my toy box. I took it out one day and it's ear was missing. It looked like a zombie, really. I had no choice but to throw him out. I wish I still had mine :(

Not sure if this commercial even aired; if it did I wonder how many people were surprised by what they saw in the commercial turned out in real life to look and sound different than what they saw on TV?
