that's where you're wrong. i would love to play this on an actual guitar. but my guitar sucks and my guitar "skills" suck too. to be honest, if you're not SLASH playing this, you're simply not going to get the same sound. think about it. he's a millionaire and has a very expensive guitar. and to top it off, he also has a shit load of cash to buy top-of-the-line guitar pedals. i think i'm totally respecting the original sound by doing what i did. it's my own tribute to playing the solo...

i wonder how long you can hold a note and have the modulation wheel going on at the same time until the note fades away, i like faders on piano i want a modulation wheel piano i like to make guitar sounds on them, playing on a guitar is little too complicated

i actually hold two notes as long as i can with the modulation wheel active. the thing is that i also use the pitch bend wheel to bend the notes at the same time. so maybe that cut the notes a little shorter?

no damper pedal. i usually use that with straight up piano sounds. but it's not necessary with the guitar sound. so yeah, i guess i was subconsciously keeping the beat with my leg. people usually do that with their legs/ heads bopping up and down to the beat. it's inevitable!

its actually a "BENDER" not a "Blender" moves the pitch up and down a half step in either direction. Some also have a harmonic distortion wheel as well.

You can't bend, pull off or hammer with a piano. You hear the differences there.

Actually he has one of those rotating things on his keyboard that bend the note up a whole step, and he does a pretty good job at replicating hammer-ons and pull-offs. So considering its a completely different instrument, I think he does an excellent job

the program i'm using is "GarageBand" and i think it's only for Macs. but i've used this keyboard with a program called "Propellerhead Reason" and that program is available for PC. another program for PC that i've used is "Cakewalk Sonar" but that can be expensive unless you buy an older version. there's also "Ableton Live" for PC, but i've never used that...
