such great trance music the two create. I have lots of respect for the new guys like Deadmau5, Armin and others, but these guys are the foundation, the building block of what electronic musis is today. They produced such smooth and melodic beats they took your mind into outter space. Markus Schulz is the only top 5 DJ I can think of that can come close to Sasha and Digweed....

This event reminds me of EDC in Los Angeles- just one big massive party about 100,000 strong. I'd so love to be back stage and see the energy the crowed produces from your perspective. @thisishowirollman Here I am :) No, I don't travel with them, I was just in the right moment in the backstage with possibility to be behind DJs and to take pics and vids, nothing else. And yes, being in the backstage - it's really another perspective of feeling the whole event, no doubt, I think that I'm part of that "world", but mirros are broken when I go downstairs from stage :)

I love Armin too, but these guys put this wonderful music out there for the world to see where as Armin was likely only the shit in his local hood back in the day. In other words, these two came on the "mainstream" and were more recognized back in the day. They essentially were what Armin is today.....

@nurofiend dude armin has been a gud dj so far, and very popuar too, mainly due to trance gaining more mainstream attention now, BUT he NEVER was pioneer, he jus picked on where other djs left off. Digweed and Sasha, along with Corsten, PvD, Tiesto, Oakenfold, these guys DEFINED the trance/house genre, they MADE it for what it is today, and so, you can never ever disrespect a pioneer. GOT BIG Respect for them, irrespective of where they stand today!

YESSS FANTASTIC video quality of my 2 heroes/idols. The point with DJing is not to emulate but to be different though, and it would seem that Sasha ISNT bothering to mix at all! I think I would also prefer to take in the spectacle of the HUGE crowd and have a ""beverage"" and NOT bother doing what I was being paid for.....

digweed uses an allen & heath xone 92 mixer.. and 3 pioneer cdj 1000mk3...with a pioneer efx1000

sasha uses his macbook with ableton live 8..and the only MAVEN midi controller ever made, only for sasha..

I saw both of them on several occasions in London and they rock , especially digweed as his style is bit harder and less progressive than Sashas.

They may not dance around like fools, but they are into it. They travel the world for years playing music they love because they love it and we, them.

I was there at Exit 05, Sasha even stayed around and played a back to back set with Lee Burridge.

The crowd ate it up in big heaping spoon fulls.
