People bitch and whine about the music not being proper Samba, that the rhythm is wrong or that the instruments aren't proper; but from a music theory standpoint. The accented 16ths, the rolling motion of the dance is true to the original style of Samba. However for Ballroom it has been streamlined to no longer reflect the culture, or be proper for social dance, so much as it is to simply LOOK GOOD.

"rumba"? I have done my research in the past: rumba: zero similarities. 5 of the 9 figures above found in brazilian samba videos, another one in a 1940 film. But the brazilian way is bad.
