I absolutely love this video. Their interaction and unbreakable bond is just unique. I truly think that the two of them have had more of a past when I read, and see, them together. @christytina81 Same, Michael Gambon's Dumbledore isn't a benine (sorry, can't spell it) and he doesn't do the twinkley eye thing. Like in the Goblet of Fire and he slams Harry against a glass case and yells at him, Dumbledore would NEVER do that!

Dumbledore was straight, because if he wasn't we would know. JK can't change a character just by saying so - she has to write it in the book, and she never did. I think its a bad idea anyway. She wants to say "the greatest wizard is gay, so gays can be great," but actually, she says "even if you become the most powerful and respected man ever, you STILL can't reveal that you're gay."

That was the entire point of his background story of the final book. In the end, he wasn't the kind, clever guy he was portrayed earlier. He was a manipulator, and in many respects, just as much of a villain as Voldemort, since he played with Harry's life more than anyone else.

And to say that he wouldn't keep certain things secret is an outright laughable statement.

It is quite possibly that "everyone" in the magical world knows his gay but his sexuality is never mentioned in the story simply because it doesn't matter to it. It is possible there are many other gay, bi och trans people among the characters but no sexuality is spoken of because it doesn't matter. Perhaps the magical people are way ahead of us in that sense...

@watxdoxuxdoxallxday actually her being the author of the book, i imagine she can say he is gay...there are hints to it in the half blood prince where he says he likes knitting patterns...and if you actually look into the thought behind harry potter, a lot of the characters have their own little back story's...even small characters...she didn't just decide he was going to be gay, he always was gay in the background
