  • I did this monologue for my acting class last week. I got an A!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks, Fritz :)

  • (bad grammer)

  • @StarredDragon I'll quote you on that for my dissertation, if that alright with you. ;)

  • "The blanket's on fire."

  • I think this whole monologue is brilliant. It really brings out and highlights the fake "enlightened" mentality of that whole era. Fritz only hates the "education establishment" when it stops him from going out with his friends and getting laid. He preaches of seeing the world and living on the edge but is distracted by sex. That sexual frustration throws him into a rage, and he burns his papers. He immediately regrets this however, showing that he doesn't REALLY care about being free.

  • Is it me, or is Fritz just a little inconciderate. I mean, I don't freak out and go on a rant just because my friends are busy and not spending time with me.

  • @J43265 I don't think it was that they didn't have time to spend with him, it was the fact that they didn't even say "hey, how's it going" they just ignored him

  • @PhauxTheFox good point.

  • @PhauxTheFox I know. What kind of friends would do that, eh?

  • he reminds me of a few characters from catcher in the rye combined in one.

  • @condiersea Exactly what I was getting from it.

  • didn't crumb get mad when he found out bakshi wasn't jacking off activist sentiment?

  • What year was that fritz the cat movie. 1950s or the 60s

  • 1972

  • hell no these people would have been murdered if it was made in the 50's

    1972

  • They show this on Turner Classic Movies late night at 12 AM or 1AM.; and I know that TCM they show movies "UNCUT". Its like their fucking motto

  • Great clip and voice work. This movie is the best, especially from a humanistic viewpoint.

  • Actually...he reminds me of a homophobic, closet, gay guy whos finally found way to piss on everybodys else, via the internet, without fear of persicusion, wilst he can sit at home beating-off to softcore gay porn, whilst daydreaming about antiqueing @ the pottery barn, & tickling his own asshole with his thumb. God bless you, closet-queer, I salute thee!!! (sorry, Im drunk & high right now...)

  • your almost right! except I'm doing all that while at work not at home!

  • Even though I was born in the mid 80's I can relate to Fritz. He's just as poignant as ever.

  • Fritz reminds me of Lenny Bruce.

  • I have a theory (although I can't confirm it) that Skip Hannet, the voice of fritz, based his caricturization of Fritz on Bruce.

  • After all these years I have finally figured it out.

Fritz the Cat grew up to be George W. Bush.

Except Georgie set the world on fire.

  • hey can someone upload the X rated film to youtube Once upon a girl???

  • HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA NO

  • well they can keep it..but what if they censor it??

  • nevermind about the censoring... they MIGHT be able to pull it off uncensored.. like how the boondocks how the N word was uncensored..im not gonna say it but... this is one hell of a cartoon and Ralph Bakshi's cartoons Should air on adult swim... like if they can air John k's pardoy's of yogi bear, and the jetsons...they should air Ralph Bakshi's stuff and likely his upcoming film Last days of coney island... so sign the petition man

  • Sorry, what petition?

  • the petition to bring Ralph's works to adult swim...they aired John k's stuff

  • where is it? I'd like ot sign.

  • fritz, you rock

  • gagabonkers it WAS the second film to be in the gross out list under the godfather in its first week

  • roflmfao XD

  • I love Fritz!

  • I know. i wish i could see this on TV on comedy central. I now one thing adult swim won't air this. they might but they might censor the good parts and edit out the funny pars. and they might edit out the part where fritz is running on the boobs in this part

  • @gagbonkers Just go buy the DVD!

  • The best part about this clip is...it's so true.

  • 30 years later though, i'm at uni and its EXACTLY like that! some things never change.

  • I know, right?? X_X I'm still in high school, but I think about this clip whenever I do my AP English homework. Over break I had to analyze like...sixty pages of essays where "scholars" just argue/bullshit about the most inane, pretentious topics.

  • It kind of upsets me that some of the world's smartest people devote SO much time to just...viciously debating about personal beliefs, instead of solving real, WORLD problems. I think it's almost childish, in a way...they just go back and forth, and back and forth. I'm pretty sure Bakshi, based on his interviews, would agree with me on that!

  • @StarredDragon its called passion without it your just another person floating around in this world. in the end your alone..so try to make yourself happy..if you disagree good for you..thats part of being human. theres a million ways to look at everything.

  • lol fritz is hilarious, " we should call the fire department" ya think lol

  • This was a good movie! Its in my Top 5 greatest animated films list!

  • sigh It will not be released on Dvd due Crumb's disapproval with the film. He even offed Fritz in a comic strip.

  • Fritz The Cat is out on DVD

  • But it is on dvd.

  • this is the second film to be in the gross out list its under the godfather

  • Haha, Fritz burned down NYU.
