@Dustlandindie Пётр Чайковский. If you are transliterating from a slavonic language to english it is possible to use an 'i' before an 'e' to soften it, as it is to put a 'y' before it.
Yes, we all know about his leanings towards little boys... I still love the music. The sound on this recording is particularly good at picking-up the winds.
@juventusoccer Mk. And Wagner was a misogynistic antisemite, and Bach had (what was it... 29?) children. Also Schubert had syphilis, and Schumann was NUTS! Point?
I still think that if you want to hear Tchaikovsky or any other Slavic composer, find an former Eastern Block orchestra to perform it. Tchaikovsky and other Slavic composers draw much from the folk tradition of their country of birth. A Slavic conductor would know this and use it to its fullest advantage. It is something that one is born into. thank you D. Alexandr D'Maddalena
I really can't understand why classical pieces and music only get a couple thousand of views but that modern day crap gets millions. People everywhere need to listen at this beautiful art.
@miepdetruus I like your thinking. Actually I would say that Mozart is God, and Tchaikovsky is his prophet on earth. And Deussy is the Holy ghost..... but I'm starting to sound like a fucking christian instead ofa music lover, and music is so much more magnificent adn real than religion, isn't it?
the guy with the white hair playing bassoon reminds me of jay leno XD. i <3 this symphony were playing this as gettin bak from summer warmup in our hs chamber orchestra :)

I love Tchaikovsky's dark undertones in his compositions. It draws on so much emotion. One of my favorite composers to paint to.

Personally I do not like clarinet, but this gentleman plays it so well that it sounds like a different instrument. D. Alexandr D'Maddalena
