When are you guys going to collaborate with GardenFork? As two cooking shows that feature cute dogs, I just thought this team-up would come naturally. P.S. He has done dog treats too!!! :)
my friend's ex would actually buy horse meat and grind it herself and cook the dog's food...this is the regular food that the dog ate everyday. She would cook a big batch every weekend.
My dog is literally almost allergic to EVERYTHING! shes even allergic to the warm CA weather!.. We also get her top quality dog food and pay the big bucks for it, but she still itches.. we have come to the point where we just buy raw ground beef and puree carrots and brocoli, mix them together and form them into patties for her meals... her only treats are dehydrated chicken breasts. We tried making homemade buscuits for her..and found out that shes allergic to flour.
I had an ancient chi wa wa and my mother-in- law used to cook her plain chicken and rice every night. Sometimes we made her plain oatmeal with banana. I used to take the left overs from the chicken and add some spices-delicious! (the untouched parts of course!)
This recipe looks like something that would make my two yorkies lick their chops-I'm going to give it a try !
I know exactly what I'll be making for my brother's dog next baking round! And thank you for not making them involve meat! They're so perfect! When dealing with new born kittens my mother taught me how to make a high protein yogurt solution for them when I was much younger.
@blarshe I didn't do any measures. Basically chop a piece of port liver to a very very small pieces. then add flour, a pinch of baking soda, one egg. mix them well and pour it on to a baking sheet. cook till it for a huge cookie, but not crispy. Cut into small rectangular, then bake till crispy. It is very easy to break into very small piece, so perfect for training treat.
@MrJingjong they were! we've been teaching them to stay out of the kitchen when we're cooking but we couldn't keep them out this time...I think they knew we were baking stuff for them. :)
I'm making these for my Oreo Mudpie this week! He freakin' loves peanut butter.
