At about 2:15, there's a flash of a line where you can just catch the word "You" - right between the "You taught me that this world is beautiful." and the "I always... wanted to say, it."

If you look at someone else's video of the wedding on YouTube, called "Harvest Moon Magical Melody - Secret Ending (Jamie's Wedding)", around the 3:12 mark, the line reaches "You taught me that people a..." but then still gets skipped. It's too bad. I want to know what Jamie got taught!

Well, you can't have a baby with Jamie. Once you marry him/her, the game can't continue with Jamie as a spouse. Some people consider it "beating the game," and it DOES "end" there... but technically, it's not over. (continued)

(continued) However, if you marry any of the 10 regular bachelors or 10 bachelorettes, the game can continue forever. 20 days after your marriage, pregnancy will be announced, and 2 seasons later, you get a baby.

You're right. xD Jamie's an... androgyne? Or whatever the perfect classification is to describe him/her that I've been trying to decide on forever... He's a boy when you play as a girl, but she's a girl when you play as a boy. The appearance, voice, dialogue are intentionally ambiguous to make him/her both a rival and love interest no matter which gender you choose to play. I think it's cool, even though most people just think it's plain creepy. =P

Nope, you are NEVER pressured to marry in this game. You can play a hundred years and stay single if you like. xP If you don't want to marry so you can concentrate on another goal, then by all means, go for it! However, it does make the game much more fun to try for a spouse if you have a bachelor/ette you like. ^^

Yep, but there are 100 Notes in total, and it only takes 50 to rescue the Goddess. ^^ It's very possible to get over 50 notes before marriage.

Nope, sorry, you can't. The only reason both a boy or a girl can marry Jamie is because Jamie is specifically designed to be ambiguous so as to become whatever gender opposite yours when you start your game. There's only one Harvest Moon game (upcoming for America in 2008) with a feature similar to same-gender marriage - HM:DS Cute, the girl's HM for DS that allows you to have a "best friend ceremony" to live as roommates with a girl and have the Goddess grant you a random child later on. ^^

Um...do you mean HM:DS? I think that's the one with a girl version with friendship ceremonies. This isn't a same-gender marriage; Jamie's always opposite the player's gender. And Magical Melody avoids that ploy & allows play as a girl OR a boy on 1 disc. I do understand your problem with the ripoffs, but gamers who love the series probably either truly enjoy both player-gender's gaming experiences, or now know enough of the series not to buy duplicates... Not that I know, since I only play MM.

the girl version of the games ended up with more CS and plants or even a completely new feture.

now in a wonderful life they did re-release it for PS2 with all the girl's version upgrades CS and a new girl to marry. but it lags and freezes like hell and I ended up getting MM because it sucked that bad.

That line that you "skipped" is a glitch -- it skips itself even if you don't press a button. Go talk to a villiager and skip their text... you'll notice it does something different -- pressing A while the text hasn't fully displayed will cause it all to display at once, then pressing A again will clear it, but that doesn't happen in this one.

I was so anxious to finally marry Bob (I forgot to get Strawberries in my first year and had to wait through all that time for one Strawberry) that I just recorded the Jamie ending as I got it... then I just went back, married Bob, and saved over it X_X

With Jamie, it's just that the game WON'T SAVE you marrying him because that would be the end of the game. When Robyn went back and married Basil, it wasn't technically a divorce; it was a turn-back in time to before she married Jamie at all. If you marry one of the regular bachelors and don't power-off without saving, you're stuck with him for the rest of your eternal HM life. ...Yay! ^^ *hugs Ray*
