My Father was horrible. It was loaded with overacting on D-enney's part. If the Korean public spoke colloquial English fluently or he spoke Korean AT ALL, they'd see through it. He's so awkward on film. If he's going to be a pretty face, he should be just that and keep his mouth shut.
And to add to my comment below: I lived in Seoul for ONE YEAR, and I left with functional competence and near-native fluency in Korean, so he has NO excuse. If I was there as long as he's been, I'd be dead fluent.

You would think that having a Korean parent, spending YEARS in Korea, and working with Korean performers that he could pick up the language and pronunciation, but the inability to do so seems to reflect lacking mental capacity on his part. If he's received an award in Korea for acting, it must only be for English roles since Koreans can't understand him.

He does speak some conversational Korean. Watch him on other TV shows; don't base your judgment on one movie.
... Plus, it's not his fault he gets cast for these English speaking roles. That's the part they're looking for.
