What sucks is now I am a member of this group. I have some great games and a wii isn't enough to quench the gaming thirst. I am thinking about getting a refurbished xbox for the time being. How do you transfer all of your stuff from one xbox to another if one of them doesn't work? Will the hard drive have everything on it in this situation?

I was just having that exact problem in the video. When I took out the hard drive and started the system with no game in it, it worked. Then I plugged in the hard drive while the xbox was still on and it rebooted again and still worked. Hopefully that crap doesnt happen again..

Check make sure the fans are working at the back of the console and check the general temperature of the xbox too.

Do not do the 'towel trick' UNLESS you have taken out the X clamps and replaced them with a error 74 fix kit which can be bought online.

Also to try, get an error code. When the xbox is on like in the vid, press and hold the 'connect' button and press the eject and this will give you a code. Check online or google 'xbox 360 error codes' to see what the code means. Hope this helps!

My Xbox just did the exact same thing a couple of days ago. Talked to Xbox and they informed me that while it was a hardware issue, it was not covered under the 3 year warranty, just the standard one year warranty, which had already expired on mine. Luckily I had purchased a warranty from Wal-Mart when I bought it. The bad part is that I had to send it to their warranty folks to get it fixed, which it's in transit to do now. I'll buy my electronics from best buy from now on. I like how they swap

Well the Power suply is looking good ... i dont recomend turning your 360 up like you have it or as some ppl will call it " the towel method " but im thinking its getting overheated turning your 360 like that can worsen the problem and posibly perminate Damage so they say. So try setting it up right that is a good start i dont know why else though sorry :(

This caused by a failed dashboard update. to fix it do this.

1. turn off the console

2. hold down the sync button and at the same time turn on the console. this should clear any failed system updates thus fixing your console.
