That's not Drunken Monkey, that's Drunken Fist, where one immitates a drunkard. Drunken Monkey (Zui Hou Quan) is a sort of combination between Zui Quan, the Drunken Fist, and Hou Quan, the Monkey Fist, so obviously it combines the relaxation and flexibility of Zui Quan with the typical, unique moves of Hou Quan, the latter of which isn't present in this video.

I met him when i was born, like, a month or so out of the womb. My dad said that he wanted him to train me..but Hong Quan said that i was too young....

He did well. Drunken sytle does not mix wine with milk, but on the other hand that doesn't seem to stop your flow of unstable thoughts :)

I used to live in Taipei 5 years, from 2003 to 2007, and study with Peng Hanping's (Xiaopeng) drunken and monkey master Zhang Kezhi and i have some kung-fu brothers (French & Taiwanese) used to study in Taiwan with Xiaopeng during many years before he passed away...

btw this is not the drunken monkey's form but just the begining of of the form called the 8 drunken immortals..

Thank you for your comment. I saw Zhang shi fu , who taught Xiao Peng the drunken style , a few years ago in Taibei . Didn't look very healthy to me , but , alive...

Wow, I have seen him often during my time in Taibei, 1982-84, 1986-1988, 1992-1995.

Settled in Gaoxiong 1998 and never knew about his fatal accident, what a pity!
