  • Even if this cow doesn't go to slaughter, what about her calves who, often go through the feedlot experience, the shipping without food or water and then the horrors of the slaughterhouse! We have the capacity to be better than that and yet we choose to subject helpless animals to tortures and abuses that are beyond grotesque.....when do we begin to evolve beyond the barbaric? We have the capacity but whether we use it or not is another matter.

  • Any Non-believers should refer to my other video: "Spreading manure" and go to 4:10. This is her 2 years later. She's not ground into meat stew.

  • @96F250Diesel Hn, People like you just waste space, They think they're all that, and they go on their useless lives, tormenting everything.

  • This video demonstrates the schizophrenic attitudes of human beings. We 'love them when they're babies and cute' and then slaughter them without any concern. This kid may be a 4H kid and he will raise his little calf until it is butcher weight. He'll wash it and feed it and it will learn to trust him because he's never hurt it, and then that trust will be betrayed for money and a ribbon.

Golly gee, such a cute video and it's so awesome how people are so kind to calves!

  • @Debbydiesel I quit 4H when I was 10. I took chickens, but I never got into all of the crafts and things they do at the fair. I prefer watching the cattle in the pastures and lots, not showing them off.

  • @Ryanfun1 I'm glad you quit 4H. It's horrible. Beyond the "(rah rah) it teaches kids responsibility, yada, yada, yada", it also teaches that betraying something that has come to trust you completely, is ok. And that is just wrong. We should be teaching our children that if you love something or someone, you do NOT betray that beings trust.

Brushing, bathing, patting, giving affection, and then whack, "your dead but I got cash in my pocket". Not very noble. So I'm glad you quit.

  • Good Lord. I was afraid to watch this video. Now I'm glad I did. God bless you.

  • I was raised to think Bovines had no feelings, why is that calf happy??

  • This is a fake video. This can't be happening.!

  • The calf follows u like a pet! How can people be cruel to them?? We live in a world full of wicked people!

  • Excellant my friend, good to see someone treating animals with some respect for once.

  • i respect the compassion you're showin'

  • @Ryanfun1 so you are in denial too!

  • @Ryanfun1 Ryan, please speak out against animal agriculture.it needs to be abolished.it is a disgusting and destructive business.go vegan!

  • The calf looks playful, like a puppy!

  • For a second i thought you were actually going to kill her, and i was on the verge of going on a rampage, but this is so cute ;3 :)

  • @bellahorse151 this one animal may be spared but the rest will not.ask these farmers to admit everything that will happen to these animals including being forced onto a truck to be sent to a slaughterhouse.let's see that!! this is business, not a sanctuary.animal exploitation is slavery and it needs to be abolished!

  • @bellahorse151 too bad u werent born a cow...

  • @96F250Diesel I bet you look like one.

  • very nice calf Ryan. I cant wait till my cow gives birth soon. my family has 30 cows and 1 bull right now. we got the bull back in March 2011 so we should be dropping calves anytime. I also have a 3 year old cow named apples cause when her mom died we had to bottle feed her and she loved to eat apples out of our hands lol

  • If we use that assumption then YOUR JUST A HUMAN how bout them apples?

  • What's so funny? Btw I'm not a "peta girl" I simply enjoy animals more as friends not food. I get all my nutrition without eating animals body parts.

  • That calf loves you, dude

  • Ryan. Ur awesome!

  • Dude, you rock. Watching the other animal abuse videos really fucked up my mentality a bit. Thanks for the awesome video mate.

  • great vid ryan!! your a hero!!

  • Aww! It's like a dog! :D

  • @Ryanfun1 she dies of what a bolt, shot but what ever the means the meat must be real tender ommm good, hamburger

  • @Ryanfun1 Dude if it's real you on this video, you're my hero, I've watched thousand videos about animal abusing but after this I see that on that freaking planet still exist people that can save it

  • these animals love, and trust people. i dont know how anyone could hurt them. i would pay soo much money if i could save every single one of these little beasts

  • That's too cute! You know if you raise a calf it'll follow you around like a dog n can be a really smart animal

  • oh thamks for putting this up

  • @Ryanfun1 wow! I was so afraid when I read the title...it's so much fun to watch you play with that calf! You rock!

  • That's pretty cool. She looks really happy.

  • -sigh- Its nice to now there are still farms like yours :), thanks for making me happier. I wish I loved on a farm.

  • Awwww....just awesome!!! ~LOVE~

  • @Ryanfun1 (Of natural causes, I take it?) I love you! That's as it SHOULD be. I don't quite understand how someone can be that kind of close to a critter and then slaughter her, or allow her to be taken to slaughter. You're awesome, Ryan!

  • @Gyrkin59 I know that we raise animals for busnuis to make money but in order for the animal to grow it needs to be treatedwell and we love the cattle ifwe didnt we could get a easy town job and make more money we raise cattle for a reason and its because we love the life and the cattle, around here unless you sell the fat cattle to kosher slaughter plants the handeling is done fine and the animal hinks nothing of it zero stree so i have no complants.

  • @PSimmentals very true... kosker is about all that is wrong

  • @Gyrkin59 Most farmers don't play with their stock. To answer your question about how they can kill them after getting close to them. You can raise an animal for meat and still treat it with respect and dignity. Also, cows aren't dogs. If RyanFun lives on a farm/ranch, I seriously doubt it's a "raising cows as pets because they're cute" ranch, unless his family is extremely wealthy and looking to change that.

  • @CoruscantSunset Yes, they have to separate themselves from it, or they'd have a hard time sending it off to be slaughtered. But I disagree about being able to raise it "for" meat and still treating it with dignity and respect. If you do that, there's definitely a Disconnect going on, because if you thought of the creature with that much dignity and respect, you'd respect that its life is as precious to it as your is to you... and not have it killed.

    Maybe that's Ryan's 4H? Still gets killed.

  • Im a rancher myself and what i want everyone to know is there isnt many factory farms at all, theres pry 15 ranches to one cattle or hog factory farm and for those who are with PETA peta uses its money to get people out of business because of factory farms but instead there gunna put the real rancers like me and ryanfun1 out of business just so you know we arent all like that but its all everyone gets to see

  • @PSimmentals Would you tolerate anyone doing what PETA complains about to YOUR cattle? If you're the man I see you saying, then you'd beat the guy seven ways but senseless before throwing him off your land. The factory farms ARE the problem, and to some extent it's up to you to police your own, to stand opposed to them. THat should be easy to do, since they're what robbed you of fair prices as well.

  • @PSimmentals No offense, but you're wrong. Factory farm map dot org

  • @iamkiarawr Im not even goin to that site i know peta pays for like (everythings hurt in the pig pen) ive seen it happen should i open up farm tours i bet with my operation i can get ALL of you little vegans to grow balls and have a bite of beef. so no offense but your wrong go live 13 storys off the ground in new york k buddy? your not out here!

  • @PSimmentals PETA doesn't pay for it, and I don't endorse PETA.

It seems like you make decisions based off very little fact-I live in Denver and used to have to work on the ranch my family owns. I grew up raising beef just to watch them get slaughtered, and I had to eat my friends because my parents thought it would break me, and it didn't. Think before you type sometime, yeah?

  • @iamkiarawr absolutely.i have no tolerance for these decievers!

  • @PSimmentals well said sir!

  • @hotstuffcold thanks just dealing with all these peta girls now SMH :)

  • @PSimmentals Sir, you're either mistaken or lying intentionally. Or maybe where you live that's true, but most of the dairy farms I lived near as a kid were bought up long ago by corporations and run as factory farms. Even the chicken operations I know of are effectively owned by Tyson. When you make a deal with a factory farm, you do things their way or else.

You're the small minority if you're actually different... but you're still raising them to be killed so I kinda doubt it.

  • @Gyrkin59 we run right around 650 momma cows and there isnt one factory farm dairy with in 200 miles all directions,, then yes we have chicken factrys but follow the rules follow the right number yu put in a cage feed them therre jut a bird, we dont even have much for hog plants its all farmer based

  • @PSimmentals I don't know where you live, but in NE Oklahoma, we had cattle ranchers, chicken growers, and pig operations. Some were better than others, but you can tell from the mound of dead chickens that there's SOMETHING not right about them being grown out like that, with no room to move or breathe between 'em. "They're just a bird," huh? So is a parrot, and an eagle. There's the problem. You think everything is "just a". It's a feeling thinking being that loves life as much as you do.

  • @PSimmentals the size of the farm makes no difference.it's still animal exploitation, you still abuse the animals(even though you denty it and make excuses)and the animals all go to slaughter sooner or later.people are not stupid.we know.go vegan for the animals, your health and the planet!

  • @PSimmentals hey thanks for the info. but how can I tell if the meat I buy at the supermarket comes from a factory farm or a ranch ?? Is there a way to trace the farm it came from and how they treat their animals ?

  • @Ryanfun1 i agree im rancher in nebraska and we raise cattle before family there are way of life!

  • What a beautiful calf :)

  • What this all about? I came here to watch animals being hurt!

  • You are my hero, man :D That was really refreshing after seeing poor abused cows...

  • @eranredick What the hell does this have to do with Peta? There's no abuse going on. You don't know anything about Peta or what they have done in the 31 years of fighting for animal rights. If it wasnt for animal rights activists, crush videos would be legal. Peta isn't the only people exposing truth about animal abuse in agriculture. There are the few good places that treat their animals well, Peta isn't against that, but they are against places that have evidence of abuse. Stop being a douche.

  • @BiohazardBunney Peta is against showing happy calves, you must be a member, or just a tool! lol!

  • @eranredick Actually, he's clearly not a member, because PETA is against ANY captivity or killing. Personally, the longer I live, the more I tend to agree with their position (if not their tactics.) But you're mistaken too. PETA would LOVE to show happy calves, living full lives, at liberty. That's kinda the point.

You don't care, you don't mind, you, you, you. It's not about you. YOU aren't the one being treated badly and killed... unnecessarily. Contrary to the BS, you're healthier w/out

  • this is beautiful, you're such a good person

  • He cried several months later when his dad shot this calf, lied to him about whats he eating which he ate it this calf.

  • @2CrazEy1 Lay off the speculative fiction, jerk. He says she's his and won't be killed so button it.

  • dude he is playing with the calf

  • i was just waching a calf getting punched in the face and cows getting stabbed this is so nice to see thank you for restoreing my faith in humanity

  • @adamasdiamandis And getting their eyes gauged out and breaking their tail. If I ever see anyone abusing any animal, I will fucking kill them. They are going to hell, thats 1,000,000x worse than how they tortured those cows. Theres a special place in hell waiting for them.

  • @adamasdiamandis these animals will all end up in a slaughterhouse eventually.farmers could never afford to keep them plus they still castrate steers, the still force impregnate cows(rape)they still burn off the horns on steer and send bull calves to slaughter sometimes, heifers drink powdered milk etc.the only solution os to go vegan.don't kid yourself.

  • @adamasdiamandis Do you realize that this calf is a 'beef' calf and while this kid is playing and being kind for the moment, he'll be participating in killing it in short order? Your faith in humanity is utterly displaced. He's a farm kid and he'll kill it soon.

  • @Debbydiesel I hope to eat him soon yum yums

  • @Debbydiesel But do you realize that she is female and she is NOT going to be sent for slaughter?

  • @Ryanfun1 It's a beef breed and it may or may not go to slaughter. And even if it is used for breeding for a few years, there will come a day when that cows body will be done and she will be on the same truck as the steers. So what is the difference.

This video shows a kid playing with a heifer. And the next one will show a kid playing with a steer and the point is there is really no true compassion here just because for one moment, the kid is being kind.

  • @Debbydiesel Believe it or not, we do not send our beef cows to the sales barn to be slaughtered. Essentially, they stay there until they die. They only case that they DO go is if they tried killing one of us.

  • @Debbydiesel NO FARMS NO FOOD! You Peta people are going to starve to death from being stupid... shaking my head

  • @96F250Diesel I guess you've never been in the produce department of grocery stores. Hmmm, you don't know what you're missing. I'm feeling real sorry for you dear.

  • Hopefully its a farm sanctuaries and not a typical farmer who will one day betray his pets for "beef"

  • @Nbrito06 HAHAHAHAHAHA wow

  • lol its more of a dog then most dogs + free grass cutter. cow flap in back door will have to be huge lol

  • nice video man.

  • Calf got some dog DNA mixed up in him....it runs, tail wag, & play just like a dog! Haha....nice calf to have as a pet...cute

  • @Chrisle6969 Maybe this is how they would ALL be, given the opportunity and a sane healthy diet.

  • @Gyrkin59 if you dont believe ranchers love there cattle and itmeans to them, when calves are un wanted when its 1 below zero out and your sitting inside complaining ranchers are out there taking the un wanted calf and bottle feeding it its not what a rancher wants but in this video thats a buket calf and realize how happy it is? ive raised pry 60 of them and they love life we do get attached you see factorys and slaughter plants please cometo a real ranch?

  • @PSimmentals You always act like people don't know, instead of admitting that there's a reality other than yours. You went out there in 1 below (as I did, big presumption that I was sitting inside) because you didn't want to lose stock, which is "just" money to you. Same reason you go out to feed ALL the stock in such weather.

So you get attached, and then you send it to slaughter anyway?

FYI, I've worked on a Real ranch & at a Real meat packing plant, raised quail. Step back and look HONESTLY.

  • @PSimmentals what are you saying? you send them all the be slaughtered!! that is some sick sense of love that you have!! don't lie to me,i am from big farm country and i know the truth about all farms from tiny to huge!

  • Oh no! The poor thing! This is so horrible!

  • NICE TASTY VEAL

  • Happiest little calf on the planet. <3 This is how real beef should be <3

  • Lol. It's like a dog.

  • So cute

  • @HudsonReviver3 do you have a farm?

  • @digitalmonster28 No :( It'd be awesome though, I love calves, they're adorable.

  • Thanks for the video after the other sick crap I put myself through to get to this put a smile on my face.

I love all animals so much...

  • Awww, So cute!!!

  • Oh noe shes harmed by wagging her tail and playing with a teenaged boy D: OH THE HUMANITY!!!

  • This calf is not harmed at all

  • Thanks dude :)

  • This is adorablee.(:

i live on a dairy farm and calves are usually skittish (or at least like the ones in the back) no matter how well you treat them :p

  • @DONTeatMEATT There are a lot of factors... how they were raised, etc. But a dairy farm's first priority is to produce milk and milk fat. So everything else (including being skittish) is irrelevant, when they're producing a lot. I'm guessing a Jersey wouldn't be that way, because they're a lot closer to hand-milking, where being skittish would be a bad thing.

  • @Ryanfun1 you're awesome... I hope I can one day have a farm & live like that, surrounded by amazingly beautiful animals, I feel I relate to them so much more then humans... I don't see myself moving out to the country, can't really afford it... :0/ I can only hope one day somehow I will*dreaming*,lol... :0)

  • The sweetheart is the young man. Anyone who has a heart for an animal will more than likely be a wonderful spouse, parent, and as you can see a great kid. too cute :)

  • awww it thinks it`s a dog

    lol

    so cute

  • I wonder when people will start noticing that there are better ways of living than torturing and slaughtering animals - which would be cheaper and healthier.

  • That is the cutest thing I have ever seen... :0)

    I love animals... :0)

That little baby is so adorable! lol.

  • What a sweetheart.

  • That's some pretty bad abuse...

  • This was fun to watch, my neighbor has beef cows love seeing the babies running together.
