@MNBigs green screen i think if you have the dvd and look on special features it shows you but the pit is really only like 6 feet deep with a foot and a half of padding and a green screen sheet on top of the stunt pad so they could edit it to look like it's bottomless hope that helps

@avsrangers8 my bro made one, its just 2 hemispheres glue together and in the bottom he sawed out a hole big enough to fit his head, he also glued in a helmet to hold his head in properly, he cut out a mouth hole and covered it with a white see-through mesh to see through, he then took a large piece of foam and cut it into 2 ear shapes and glued them in place, for the eyes he used two circular light bulbs that are battery operated and light up when you press them.

The eggs in 'Aliens' opened liked that, the egg in 'Alien' didn't, it looked more like four solid sections, anyone else know what I mean? Just being pedantic, it's the internet after all.

This tutorial is great and the egg even better!

Although the eggs laid in 'Aliens' are laid by an alien, I suppose. So, perhaps I am wrong all wrong! But just think about the different egg opening versions in the original and sequel!
