i have a question what is that white wire that is close to the inverter on the outer side of the hinges that runs up the side of the screen. because mine just snapped. and i dont know what it is.. and i know a wire snapping shouldnt be good at all. because they all have a purpose. please answer. thanks
@cupcakexrider I'm pretty sure thats the coaxial cable which runs up to the Wi-Fi antenna. You should solder the core with a piece of single core wire, then insulate, then join the outer shielding as well as you can, then insulate that, and it should be alright. Sorry to hear about your troubles =(
Very Nice Explaination I did did an exchange from one identical toshiba laptop to another and it works like brand new. Thanks for the easy to follow directions.
Great video!! my toshiba satilllete screen got cracked and i was scared i would need to replace the whole thing. I noticed on your video you have 4 screws holding the screen frame in. Is it possible to have 6? i have 6 covers on mine. 2 on top. 2 on the bottom sides and 2 on the bottom middle. do they all need to come out
@jaykruse Oh yeah, you can have different number of covers, some laptops have them ont eh side of the screen as well (like IBM T60). The main idea is to not pull on the bezel too hard, that way you can spot anything catching, before ripping the bezel out with damage.
will this work for the toshiba satellite l645d-s4056 model?
