I kept fast forwarding to the next chapter until finally I turned it off and took it back. Now that movie DEVIL that just came out last year. EXCELLENT MOVIE

Saw it yesterday at a fantastic film festival, and it was one of the best movies I saw there all week. Awesome atmosphere. Loved the reduced color saturation and the play between light and smoke/mist. On the downside, a bit too cg heavy for my taste. But all in all a very enjoyable horror movie. Thumbs up !

@phoinx3D It's not called "The Banshee" because the film makers got inspiration from Sam Raimi, the man who directed "Spiderman." Sam Raimi also wrote and directed "The Evil Dead" Trilogy, which are the "inspiration" for this film. "Evil Dead 2" is called "Dead by Dawn"...Hence the title "Damned by Dawn"

@faidley79 Actually, I think it's called Damned By Dawn, not The Banshee as originally intended, because there was supposed to be a kids' movie called 'Banshee' coming out around the time this film was being made and they had to change the name. Heaps of names were suggested and everyone liked Damned By Dawn best: I 'voted' for it & had never heard of Dead By Dawn. :P -Bridget ("The banshee")

Dont think it will make the theaters, but if it did I think it would be well worth them putting it there. Good for what looks like a lower budget Australian movie, they seem to be getting better with there movies like Triangle & Daybreakers.

It looks like it's got a lot of heart in it. That gives me hope. I really like the look it has to it. Also, it seems to be shot with a good eye for perspective.

I mean I'm no film student or anything, but I'm tired of people shaking the camera during the action like in The Bourne Identity. I'm glad someone found a cameraman that didn't forget how to aim.

Cheers for your comment - unnecessary camera shake I find to be lazy & one of my pet peeves. My eyes bleed when trying to watch action shot in such a way that you can't follow what's happening on screen.
