@maryam8898 its called croma keying. how it works is you select a color, and the program will automatically replace all of that same color with the background footage. basically, anything bright green will be replaced with background footage. the reason why we choose green and blue over other colors is because those are the only colors that are not on skin.

@maryam8898 if you are talking about croma keying, a lot of editing programs that come with your stock computer should already have it like windows movie maker, iMovie, etc. But programs like Vegas and After effects have it as well.

If you are talking about the green screen, its much easier and more reliable to get Green construction paper because a lot of walmart fabric is transparent.

@madams2321 Unless your 4th graders know Chroma-Keying, there isn't a really "easy to use" program that masks out the green color and puts another video/image in there automatically. Sony Vegas is probably the easiest it can get when Chroma-Keying.

I have a green shower curtain and that seems to work fine. but after a while, if your using some high voltage lights, then you can start to smell burning rubber. but thats only after about 1 and a half hours so it's not too bad. :/ thanks for he video

i like the idea great stuff but instead of nails on the wall i would rather use PVC pipe and put them together in a frame and hang them by the Spring clip.. and cut the pipes in half's that way i could carry them where ever i want..

The material you use isnt made for keying. its see through and not bright enough for precise keying. I would look for a brighter and thicker material. Also always put 3 lights up. 1 on the left..one on the right and one behind the person beeing keyed. (family of angles) in that way the person looks like beeing seperated from the background. makes it look more natural. But for fun this is a nice tutorial.
