I've decided no matter who i marry or what goes on in my life, i am going to adopt a little Korean girl ! and i will love her more than anything! and she will grow strong and healthy and smart! i'm gonna give her the best life, and the best discipline so she can grow up ready to be successful !
Mia is so happy! I love watching all your videos. I was heartbroken when I read the part that she had been adopted twice and returned. That's so sad! I'm so glad that Mia has found her forever family. Mia is absolutely adorable. Best wishes to your family!
was it difficult for you when you went to korea because you couldn't speak the language, or did your wife translate? Also, does Mia ever speak korean around you, or just with her mom and brother?
It wasn't difficult because I had my wife with me and she is obviously fluent in Korean. At home the three of them only speak Korean. The baby is already learning both languages and even the dog knows all her commands in Korean. I just do what they tell me and listen for English to be spoken.. Mia doesn't speak too much Korean around me as I don't know too much.
Shes so adorable. And its so fortunate your wife can speak Korean so that the language + culture will always be with Mia which usually isnt the case with all the other adopted children.
She was approximately 2-3 both times. It happened within the same year when she was about 3. The reason for return is complicated. I have been told adoption is not looked highly upon in Korea and she cried a lot due to all the changes in her family. They sort of "tried" it out but then returned her. She is perfect and never caused us any issues.
Unfortunately, It is true that adoption is not looked highly upon in Korean society because Korea is too much blood oriented which I, as a Korean, feel ashamed of. I have watched all of your videos and they gave me eye-opening insight. Thank you for uploading vidoes and hope you will keep uploading! :)
i wonder if she has negative memories/effects resulting from her earlier experiences?
