how can you compare this to jaws? they aren't even the same types of movies. i hate when "critics" make asinine statements like that. for one, jaws isn't a monster movie. it's about a large fish; not a mutated fish, not a fish that was bread with an alien, not a fish that was created by science. a fish. secondly, it's unfair to the host because comparing it to a movie that has no relation to it, or any movie for that matter, takes away from its originality.

Yet, the last few minutes of the movie are some of the most memorable and thrilling, true monster hunting deal. To anyone who is planning on seeing this, do not watch the dubbed version. this movie has quite possibly the worst dubbing i've ever heard in my life. The Korean version was incredible. I recommend this movie in its true form to anyone who likes movies. I really hope the new director doesn't screw up the sequal though.

a monster is born when chmicals are on perpusly spilt into the han river. monster rampages and during a familys retreat for safety the daughter is lost so the family go looking for her. it aint your average monster movie where everyone dies except 1. i get teary when the fathers daughter gives the grandfather the empty gun and the monster flips him into the air and deliberitly cracks his head on a slab. Great film should watch it somtime =]

There was actually a lot of clever humour and sequences used in the film, some great cinematography as well, some parts kind of droned on, and the end bit got somewhat boring, but it still made for an entertaining movie

I think people don't realize how much comedy based the movie is, if you're trying to compare it as a thriller to Jaws it wouldn't be in the same class, but as a new entertaining movie it's fun to watch, and there's a lot of clever devices

Sorry to say, but I'm pretty fair about movies. This movie was just unbelievable. If there was truly a man-eating monster in the Han River, then why do they care more about a virus? That doesn't make any sense. The monster was created by formaldehyde being poured into the river. So none of it make any sense. If the monster was created by a virus, then the story would be more cohesive. This is just a junk story, with good acting.
