@carman698 Of course the STOP ligth is on. It takes a while until normal hydraulic pressure is reached. Haven't you ever started a car when it's cold?
Early in the year 1999 here in Finland, it was very cold. One morning when I was leaving for work at around 7.00 am I looked at an outdoor thermometer. It seemed to be about-41-42c. My car (Nissan Bluebird), engine block heater was not turned on. But I start the car anyway. Considering the circumstances, Car started surprisingly easily After a few seconds of cranking. Kittilä in Finland was at that time the temperature was -51.5 C. Unofficially, the coldest temperature in Finland was -57c.
@Mastercock12 Yes so is mine, but something failed to learn when you payed no attention in school in Western Sydney is that countries closer to the equator are warmer than those close to poles :D
Yeah, it's the same on my Xantia as well. The gauge always rises a little no matter how cold it is outside. Xantia's a great winter car, never had any trouble starting mine and it heats up pretty fast as well.
fix kn the motor temperature!!!!

10w40 oil in -22 cold starts is definately NOT a good idea! you should put in at least 5w40!

Try to start diesel in -22C :D
if your car is ok (spark,injection system and etc.) you can star it at -30 without problem.

Your car has been in operation a few minutes before...

@giorgosmitakis I don´t think it´s fake. Engine doesn´t sond like that if it´s warm. And few minutes isn´t enough to warm it... :(

@Mastercock12 search the impreza cold start @ -44 C
FonZ4590 1 year ago
@FonZ4590 subaru video, block heater has been switched on for 4 hours before starting. So there is no real "cold start at -44c". :)

No start before. I think that the gauge will rise litlle bit, when you turn ingnition on.
I remember long time ago, when I started Peugeot 309 in -35 °C without block heater too...just normal here in Finland!

the temperature gauge was slightly off the bottom of the scale - so it had already been started before this vid?
