  • great video! thank you for sharing your experiences. I have shared your video on my Health Anxiety channel. Check out my Health Anxiety Forum if you would like to speak to myself or fellow sufferers: highanxiety.co.uk

  • i regonized alot in your story, thanks for sharing. what are your thourghts on SSRI's? doctors and psychotherapists has recommended them, but iam very sceptical of drugs

  • @alpinestate some people do really well on them and some people get no benefit from them. The probability of you having any real issues with them is slim. If they work for you, they can be life-saving.

Personally, I didn't get much out of drugs, so i stopped taking them. It was tough, but i didnt have a lot of options. Try what your doc recommends, and if they don't work, or make you feel worse, tell them, asap.

They may want you to try a different dose or a different type.

  • You went through alot, thanks for sharing your story.

Off of the topic, you remind me of gerard way!! You’re SO cuute!! ahhh

  • @SecksMeKrissyBoo awww well shucks :D !!!!

    thanks!

  • I appreciate you sharing your story big time. I suffer from really bad health anixety too. I had an experience like you as a kid. about 10 years old only mine lasted way longer and was pretty bad. got over it. was ok through the rest of grade school till mid 20s and slowly in my late 20s and now 30 I am suffering again. Some things have triggered me again.

  • Stop coffee, junk food, cigars, sugar, ARTIFICIAL-SUGAR NO NO (USUALLY IN SUGAR FREE BEVERAGES), stop all substances that excite body and cause withdrawal symptoms. You're having a withdrawal symptom with palpitations, tachycardia and whatnot. Same was here :( ... it took me a lot of time to figure it out.

  • I probably have this as well.

  • thank u

  • Mine started because I had an abscess, but at the time I didn't know what it was, and I thought it was cancer. Since then I've been worried everything I have is cancer... I'm still like it today and need help. I have a neckache that I've had for 3 weeks now... I'm worried it might be neck cancer...

  • @LxMeconate its rare for neck pain to be the first sign of cancer. its more likely just an injured muscle.

  • @jthami03 Yeah, well I'm beginning to get less and less worried. I'm making yet another doctors appointment. It's horrible though, I feel like nobody wants to talk to me about my illnesses, and I want to feel normal again, but never can.

Thanks for this video, I almost felt like I was the only one who suffered from hypochondria. :)

  • @jthami03 i've had brain tumors,pancreatic cancer,diabetes,lung cancer,liver cancer,colon cancer,breast cancer,stomach cancer,skin cancer.this sucks i feel like death is around the corner and im slowly dying.

  • @jthami03 I think I have the same thing. Does hypochondria somehow come with panic attacks? I have panic attacks all the time. And a while back I was sick and I became healed. And after I healed I think that I have everything in the world. Still to this day. I had one panic attack so bad to where I was just sitting down staring at the wall. It felt like I was in a dream and I was really dizzy. Do you think hypochondria can cause panic attacks?

  • @MexPrincessaSophia hey im sorry it took so long to reply to this. if youre project is still going on, id love to be a part of it, if i can.

  • good to see this video.. I believe myself i have hypoChondria too...

I hope u get better man

  • @iamwinnerde thank you

  • I'm only 16 but I always think somethings wrong with me and it gets me down, but the next day i'm usually fine. Like if i feel a pulse in my arm or something i think my hearts about to explode.

  • @ScBoyyx sounds like anxiety to me. have you seen anyone about it?

  • I've suffered from anxiety for basically my entire life. I've been dealing with hypochondria and obsessive-compulsive disorder for over half of my life, and I can't tell you how refreshing it is to know that I'm not the only one going through such things. Logically, I know there are others out there, but it's just a breath of fresh air to hear someone talk about their experiences with it. This has controlled my life entirely, and I appreciate you talking about it. Thank you.

  • @ButtplugBob thank you for watching. im glad it helps!

  • Thumbs up if Google has destroyed your life.

  • @MaroForLife google can be the worst thing ever for hypochondriacs, since we cant rationalize the real and the perceived.

  • @MaroForLife Can I give this a million thumbs up?

  • I think that I suffer from hypochondriasis but I've never been to any counselors of psychiatrists. I'm 19 years old and I've been diagnosing myself with various cancers and diseases for about 6 years now. It's all so real to me sometimes and I can't shake these thoughts. I constantly worry about it and I'm ready to get some help. I would like to talk to someone who has been to see a psychiatrist for this illness. I need some advice.

  • @anniealexam feel free to message me. ill try to reply as soon as possible.

  • It's nice to realise there is other people in the same situation as me...I'm getting alot better but I still have bad days. I have diagnosed myself so far with a brain tumour, alzimers, heart attack, stroke, and also going blind. It would be niec to tak to others in my situation. I'm 21 also Thanks for the vid. xxx

  • @MissMarx90 thanks for watching! im glad it helps some

  • Thank you! this really helped me out alot! I can relate to almost everything you said. So maybe I've got hypochondria aswell?... Cause I thought that I had heart problems as well but the doctor did not find anything:) and for about 2-3 days ago I started to feel this cold sensation in my chest and are worried about that but I don't feel any pain from it and are thinking about going to the doctor again:/

Sry for my bad english I'm from sweden x]

  • @siZe328 dont worry about your english, it isnt that bad!

it def sounds like you may have some anxiety about your health, like myself.

i hope youre doing well and are getting through this.

  • @jthami03 Thank you! And yes, I feel much better today, have had to teach myself not to try to find and feel wrong in the body, etc. And many thanks to you for your videos have helped me more than you think! :D

  • yo i got it to a week ago i found a lump on me i was literally in tears over it for a week today i went to the doctor and found out it was a normal gland this hypochondria SUCKS!!!

  • This year I already had a Brain tumor, leuchemia, skin cancer, liver cancer and also a bit of hyperthyroidism.

I also have palpitations for a long time and a couple years ago I actually didn't care for it because I knew it was normal. But after my hypochondria was "triggered" I always think that this palpitations mean that I'm going to have a heart attack. I can't control it. One day this was a normal thing. Now, it's the end of the world...

  • @MetalUpYourAss001 Yep. Sounds like youve had a busy year! Ive had some new, crazy stuff myself.

  • Dude!! I suffer from the same freaking crap!! I'm glad I found your vid! do you have a facebook so we can chat?

  • Then i do the worst thing possible..... i google that shit. Googling conditions without any formal medical education is very unwise. Go google any flu symptom with the word 'cancer' next to it. Scary stuff. My main problem is that my concerns are logical with regards to symptoms and dreaded diseases. I am also a hypochondriac for my family's health. Im am constantly worrying about the health of my parents, sibling, girlfriend etc. fuck its bad. My mind is a train wreck

  • I suffer from hypochondria. I have on many occasions believed that I have had cancer, aids, TB, etc. I am usually unable to brush off any symptoms i feel, this is due to the fact that my reasoning is not delusional i.e. My concerns are genuine with regards to the symptoms i feel. For example, i feel lumps in my neck and a few other symptoms.......bam! i must have cancer...

  • I also thought I had a brain tumor, I convinced myself that I had one and I actually had real symptoms such as puking, and dizziness. I didn't stop till I got a brain MRI, and now I'm worried I have something else wrong! Its pure hell! I'm also 21.

  • @263barbie it can be a torturous journey, but the best tool you have is knowing that it is NOT a permanent thing, if you dont let it be.

In a case where you experience troubling symptoms, its perfectly reasonable to see a doctor.

It's when we take small, temporary symptoms and turn them into a tragic emergency is when this demon takes over.

    best of luck to you!

  • @jthami03 thank you do you have facebook? or whatever so we can chat more about this.
