Gimp Tutorial **Alter an Image**

Wow this reminds me of my graphic design class and we used photoshop. Ever since, I wanted photoshop but too expensive, and GIMP has the Clone tool and smudge wow! I should get this. Its safe to download this right? No viruses?

Gimp is a rather poor editor, sure it's free, but that's about the only positive thing you can say about it.

I read a few articles comparing GMP to Photoshop, and the only differences are that photoshop has a more advanced animation and video editor.

If you're working with photos, GIMP has all the same features. (and it's free)

eerm hate to break it too ya...but theres something called a CLONE TOOL its amazing. it takes about 5 seconds to d what you just did in about 8 minutes

Sorry but this tutorial is kind of weak. One can't really see what tools he's using and he used 8 minutes to show us just how to copy/paste. Thank you anyways... I'm hoping I can learn gimp to replace my old photoshop software.

u r right man, 8 minutes to see how i can copy/paste with gimp.. i thought he would play with colors, light and contrast.. with the selection tool.. copy/paste is elementary, even paint has it!

You're among those who make great tutorials. Their easy to understand and you can apply them to other things you want to do. You should upload your tutorials to Metacafe dot com and submit them to producer rewards. They pay upwards of 200-300 dollars or more for tutorials they dig. Seriously.
