It's not intended to be childish. It's the new form of CGI that is ruining many great anime animation such as Clannad, basically it makes it look nice, but something about the way it animates looks a bit too hyper, wouldn't you agree?

Also, they ruined the disney movie Mulan II with this stuff! D= Because the animators are too lazy! )=

But I personally think Shugo Chara doki didn't get hit too hard with it. I'm not sure though, I'm still on the first season, haven't seen the actual episodes.

But it's fine if you like it though, if you're not that young and/or haven't seen much purely non-super CGI'ed stuff like Princess tutu which were still drawn beautifully. You'd understand how poorly treated Shugo Chara doki's animation was (and the second season transformations of sailor moon). XD

on the other side of things, if they were to randomly change a bunch of the animation in it, it would take some getting used to and some people might not like it simply because it's changing the look of things

It's because Ran is her athletic personality, and beeing athletic is an advantage while fighting.

What about Miki? She was the second one that hatched, so Amu turns into her a bit. Sue was the last, so she isn't used that often. :)

Yes, but that's because Amulett Clover is a healing chara nari, like Utau's Seraphik charm. Her "remake honey" can only heal and repair and is only of use, if there are more X-Eggs around, than Open-Heart can take.
