You know whats so awesome bout Superman Returns, and I dont even think may of the younger (Smallville) generation know this, I think Bryan Singer was actually trying to bring Superman into this modern era. If we really watch the film, it deals with themes of moving on, Louis has started a family now, Superman has lost his great luv! the world had kinda moved on!! These were totally new Ideas that left a door open for others to work from, its shame people just snubbed this film.
Needs to have the part where they tell Lex Luthor "he's dead" and Lex has this "How stupid can you get?" expression on his face that evaporates instantly when they say "He was hit with the piano." LOL
I don't get why people keep accusing this movie of stealing ideas from M. Night Shyamalan (Signs and Unbreakable in particular). It isn't THAT similar, though this scene does have a definite MNS feel to it.
