The way I see this, both of these presidents will suck no matter what happens. If Obama is elected president, the Democratic Parties socialist tendencies will make America into a socialist state, where the Government will take over business and strip away our capitalism.
However, if McCain were brought into office, the Republican tendencies would probably draw us nearer to anarchy, as the conservatives views are "small government".
LADIES: have you heard about his terrific sense of humor? Here's one of his jokes:"... reported in the Tucson Citizen, an Arizona paper:
"Did you hear the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die? When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, 'Where is that marvelous ape?"
Soooo how do we deal with darfur? Talk to them? Ask them "Please stop doing this silly Genocide! We'll pay you to stop!" or do we go in there with troops and actually DO something?
McCain is simply a hypocrite. No matter how much he denies it, hes just like bush. I'm thirteen it doesn't take me long to realize that this guy just sucks. And not has only this war killed enough people, its killing even MORE people through an infectious desease. I'm concerned about jobs staying in the US and being filled by Americans, not H1B workers that companies exploit the law to bring here. Address these -real- issues, and you may win my vote. John McCain grew up Episcopalian. He went to an Episcopalian high school. For at least 15 years, he has been listed as an Episcopalian in authoritative directories such as the Almanac of American Politics and
Congressional Quarterly's Politics in America 2008. He told a reporter in June 2007 that he was an Episcopalian.
Suddenly, in September 2007, he's campaigning in South Carolina, the heavily Baptist state where George W. Bush barely managed to stop McCain's presidential campaign 8 years ago. And guess what? McCain says "By the way, I'm not Episcopalian. I'm Baptist."
A minute long commercial airing on tv? That's double the amount of time they usual allow a commercial to run. More like made for Youtube crappy commerical.
Murder murder murder kill some more people, they love the blood and death, its like a symbol of greatness to have sent others to kill for you. sicko psycho's they fell powerful when the killing is done in their name then like a serial killer they visit the site of violence and death then sing and rejoice and ask for more blood. bomb bomb bomb Iran power trip song for psychopaths.
Wow, it must be hell getting cornered at a party by you: jerryjam22: 'The answer is the Bush War Machine Marches of Death! Bomb Bomb Bomb!' Partier: "Uh, ok dude. But what I asked was 'Do you know where the pate de frois gras table is?'" jerryjam22: 'You are a Merchant of Death! American evil! Eeeeevil!' Partier: "Wait, nevermind, I see it over there! Thanks!" (quickly moves away)
it figures McCain would get the pate de fois gras vote. the American people are gorged with straight talk like those unfortunate geese. the tube shoved down their throats, and endless war, a tanked economy, broken borders and higher gas prices. "The important thing about 911 is that it not be repeated, and if we leave Iraq, then it will be repeated." I'm sorry I ruined your lame party :)
I'm not a fan of McCain- but he isn't George W. Bush. He's a vet, he was tortured, and he's a good example of what happens when you don't walk lock and step with the standard Republican line. It would be nice if a lot more people didn't view political parties as football teams- only caring that their team wins- and rather more about what the right choices are.
It's hard to be non-partisan when i try to explain my ideas as a conservative to a liberal minded person and all they have to say is fuck you or some other meaningless insult. When i realized that i could never have an intelligent conversation with some 95% of liberals i decided to go straight ticket republican.
But, you can hardly have an intelligent conversation with some 95% of people in general. Liberal and Conservative overlap considerably. The difference between both groups is propagandized, and highlighted by our corrupt political system. You can see the common ground bringing a wide range of conservative and liberal idealists together- because honestly we share a common goal: the betterment of our country, and a functioning democracy.
at his age, he had nothing to lose, and he could have repudiating him, lice Harrison Ford in Clear and Present Danger, instead he baced away, shame McCain, Shame
You could have gone down in History as a great, now you are going down as a loser because of your Republican homies
Watch how many times he blinks his eyes when he says he "went to Washington to serve my country." That's a tell... he's distracted having to say that line with conviction. I Say Vote for Ron Paul. You'll never see that blink.
Thank you for your service Sen. McCain. You are a great American. Unforunately, you are going to get Swift-boated by those same people who attacked you in the 2000 primaries against George W.....It's to late.
I will be voting for Ron Paul, but with that said, I respect McCain. He's an honest man. He has served this country and is a war hero. He knows how to protect this country and do the right thing to make it prosper once again. The only reason why McCain will not get my vote is the Iraq war and our stance towards Iran. Other than that John, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
Perhaps in his message but certainly not in his actions. He has supported everything bush has thrown their way (in addition to a lot of other people running for president both dem & rep).
Unfortunately, John will probably do what republicans do best... start another war... destroy the economy, commit trillions of dollars for the betterment of the rest of the world, continue to send jobs overseas, increase our taxes...waste our money. Oh my god...he'll probably be elected!!!
excuse me three, the neo cons told all they had "god on their side" & were the "family values" party. the word "liberal" was (& still is)dragged thru the mud by so called "so called" christians who hid behind the confederat flag, the kkk, & tried to prevent the civil rights amendment.
compared to neo cons, the democrats ARE the angeles. u don't like it, tell your party leaders & preachers to stop this shit, & maybe with all the ammunition we now have onu, we might stop.
You guys both need to stop thinking about our politics with a left right paradigm. They both work hand in hand to achieve goals not known to you. They prop up petty issues for people to squabble over so that we are distracted from the bigger picture. Just stop it.
Vote for someone who might have a chance to restore this once great country. Someone perhaps who cares about the constitution and civil liberties.
i'll pull any shit i want on you three. you're a neo con synonomous with liar. that's all you people know how to do. that's how you got power, that's how you used it, then messed this country over.
as for athiest. no athiest would ever support the shut you just said. you're a christian liar, period. liar!
you arent making any defense for yourself, your basing your facts on what you believe to be true, if you dont believe me i don care but your too ignorant to give any arguement back to me
stop using the word neocon YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS, it was made up by liberal journalist in the 50s for liberals who couldnt make up their fucking minds
i am atheist...i just have high morals
i never have problems with anyone of political oppposition but i do have problems with assholes

sorry, i don't agree with you at all clevername. i do not like the religious/conservative/hypocritical policies of the right. they have done more damage to america than any other group since the south ceded from the union over 150 years ago. they're at it again.
Well wntoply6, I agree with you on all of your points. I think the majority of the republican party is "at it again." However, I think that Ron Paul is different. I think the attacks that Ron has faced from his own party proves that. He is certainly not a hypocrite. I fear the Democrats are positioned to take the reigns from bush and continue the war.
clevername, i agree, although i don't think paul will be the neo con nominee, he is the only candidate that makes any sense.
should he be the nominee and get elected, he would have a hard task trying to get those jokers in congress in line to pass any legislation that is beneficial to the usa.
Certainly they are all running on bushes foreign policy and his aproval ratings are at 25% Hillary or Oboma cant lose unless Ron Paul is there to counter thier socialistic program and never ending war that will surly bankrupt America and crash an already week dollar. get ready for the soup lines my fellow rebulicans, you deserve it.
Does he think he's kidding anybody? We don't care who he's pissed off, what we care about is what he will DO. Considering he's gone broke... well, that says it all.
I respected him... until he went to Bagdhad for a photo op. Who knows how many soldiers lives he put in danger so he could go to the "Farmers Market" like back home.
Since you have been in Washington Senator McCain you have supported a war that will end up costing Americans 2.3 trillion dollars and result in the death of 100,000 civilians in Iraq. Last time I checked theft and murder are wrong and I think most people would agree with me on this. RON PAUL 2008!
Who f*cking destabalised the country you idiot?? Who has been bombing the country and starving children through the oil for food program under Albreight?? Wake up punk.
Bitch slapping -- to use the lingo of the compassionate-left -- a rancid culture back into reality requires a rather broad response; however, we can surmise that, given Islamists and their supporters are a big chunk of 1.5 billion strong, it would certainly have to include the Liberal use of hydrogen bombs, wouldn't it?
WRONG - we sanctioned them which is the first cause of the starvations. then we trusted hussein to distribute food to his people. well central planning and distribution does not work as we all know especially under a corrupt dictator. we are the first responsible.
your not listening to me. when the US puts sanctions on a country it has huge ramifications for what a country can do and how it can operate. yes iraqi leaders are partly responsible but the US had no reason to play a part in this tragedy. when the US went into iraq they destabalized the country and disbanded the army. they also killed innocent civilians. all of these things are bad. i dont know why you are disagreeing with me on these points.
While I love everything John McCain has done for this great country I am affraid that his views are not progressive enough to shake down the corruption in Washington. He has had my support on many things,I believe he would be a great Secretary of Defense or State for a Ron Paul Administration.Again I thank him for all of his service and wish him the best in his endeavours.
I wouldn't vote for ron paul for dog catcher much less President. Why don't you 1%ers go to the Paul sites and lionize him there. You have nothing but pap to add to any cogent conversation.
i guess you haven't been paying much attention to "our president", or you can't understand what he's done TO us, but in the end you'll come to realize all that we've lost and that you may have supported our demise, however unwittingly.
You are so right about the importance of family values. I too support our President! Our best choice for our next President in my opinion is Senator McCain. I truly admire him.
Senator McCain: As a citizen of the USA, I Thank You! Not only for your dedicated service to our Nation in the past and today; but for All Your Service In The Future!!
And he made me angry with his attempt to ram though an illegal alien amnesty program without debate followed by the tactic to smear me as a bigot for demanding that existing law be enforced in order to get his way. He kissed my support goodbye on that one - forever.
great you have just sold yourself as a peacemaker "huh" how you can piss everyone off is not what we need, we need someone to fix our reputaion as the last colonial power in the planet
The manifestations of Campaign Finance Reform are as I feared, as the FEC has had to look into blogs as a possible form of illegal campaign support. Meanwhile, incumbents and special interests have only become more entrenched. And unfortunately, big government isn't just earmarks. McCain, along with all but one of the other candidates, support the continuing intrusion of government. That's why, even though I think the Iraq war is winnable, I'm supporting Ron Paul for 2008.
McCain has one big problem that craps out and negates everything else he's ever done. He campaigned for, and helped sell the awful George W. Bush to the American people. I can not vote for ANYBODY that ever stood with "W', the absolute WORST President we've ever been saddled with.
don't forget, he also kissed the ass of jerry falwell, another right wing nut hell bent on dividing this country along religious lines. we need a president who will attempt to bring us together, not as the neo cons do, pull us apart.
Sir, you have no credibility. Your honorable service and sacrifice in Viet Nam gives you no special status as a statesman, and plying war at every turn just to save face and uphold misplaced honor is not becoming of your status as U.S. Senator. Please stop pushing American hegemony. Terrorists are criminals, and should be treated as such. The Patriot Act and the Real ID strike at the heart of our freedom and democracy. Stop this madness and stop attacking our liberty and freedom at home.
The entire US Congress voted for war against Iraq, not just McCain. The fact that he supported the surge of US troops there last winter has led to greater stability there, and an environment where US soldiers can now return knowing that the wrested control of the country from Al-Qaeda bombers and pulled Iraq back from the brink of civil war.
McCain opposes torture, will do away with signing statements, wants to restore our liberty's and freedoms that were eroded under Bush.
Please post video links of McCain making the points you have stated. There is no more of a political solution in Iraq today then there was two years ago. Our continued presence will never contribute to reconciliation and our soldiers will never be safe. McCain may oppose torture, but I've not heard him oppose the Patriot Act or the Real ID. Show me I'm wrong, please.
The surge has created the current stability in Baghdad and has created an environment for a political solution. It is now up to the Iraqis to come up with the political solution to their problems. It is impossible to come to any political solution when there is an active civil war raging outside. At least give him credit for the more stable environment over there.
McCain deserves no credit for Bush's war, and certainly no credit for the current state of affairs in Iraq. If elected president, he would continue to make the same mistakes Bush has made in Iraq. This war is illegal and no amount of surge is going to change that fact. At every opportunity to end the war McCain has refused. McCain has earned the ridicule and distrust given to him by the public as is shown in the polls.

McCain won unfairly with a political hit job by claiming Romney wanted to surrender in Iraq. It was a lie - big time.
It was stunning to see the "straight talker" lie with such ease, like the other candidate endorsed by the New York Times.
McCain can only sucker punch Romney once.
McCain's message that the jobs ain't coming back but the illegals can stay means true conservatives will never support McCain.

I'm not a fan of McCain- but he isn't George W. Bush. He's a vet, he was tortured, and he's a good example of what happens when you don't walk lock and step with the standard Republican line. It would be nice if a lot more people didn't view political parties as football teams- only caring that their team wins- and rather more about what the right choices are.
thedracle 4 years ago 3
It's hard to be non-partisan when i try to explain my ideas as a conservative to a liberal minded person and all they have to say is fuck you or some other meaningless insult. When i realized that i could never have an intelligent conversation with some 95% of liberals i decided to go straight ticket republican.
osiris5432 4 years ago
But, you can hardly have an intelligent conversation with some 95% of people in general. Liberal and Conservative overlap considerably. The difference between both groups is propagandized, and highlighted by our corrupt political system. You can see the common ground bringing a wide range of conservative and liberal idealists together- because honestly we share a common goal: the betterment of our country, and a functioning democracy.

Well wntoply6, I agree with you on all of your points. I think the majority of the republican party is "at it again." However, I think that Ron Paul is different. clevername, i agree, although i don't think paul will be the neo con nominee, he is the only candidate that makes any sense.

andrewdykers 4 years ago
andrew,
Bitch slapping -- to use the lingo of the compassionate-left -- a rancid culture back into reality requires a rather broad response; however, we can surmise that, given Islamists and their supporters are a big chunk of 1.5 billion strong, it would certainly have to include the Liberal use of hydrogen bombs, wouldn't it?
TylerNull 4 years ago
Tyler, you seem eager to kill. Have you ever killed anyone before?
andrewdykers 4 years ago
WRONG - we sanctioned them which is the first cause of the starvations. then we trusted hussein to distribute food to his people. well central planning and distribution does not work as we all know especially under a corrupt dictator. we are the first responsible.
davidedwardclark 4 years ago
Muslims starving Muslims to death is our fault because we tried sanctions before using force. Got it.
And Muslims blowing up Muslims is our fault because we used force to oust the Muslims who were starving Muslims to death. Got it.
You keep proving my point.
Democrats, Islamists and RON PAUL supporters never miss an opportunity to blame Americans for Muslims slaughtering Muslims in Iraq.
TylerNull 4 years ago
your not listening to me. when the US puts sanctions on a country it has huge ramifications for what a country can do and how it can operate. yes iraqi leaders are partly responsible but the US had no reason to play a part in this tragedy. when the US went into iraq they destabalized the country and disbanded the army. they also killed innocent civilians. all of these things are bad. i dont know why you are disagreeing with me on these points.

Stop this madness and stop attacking our liberty and freedom at home.
bbburton 4 years ago 2
The entire US Congress voted for war against Iraq, not just McCain. The fact that he supported the surge of US troops there last winter has led to greater stability there, and an environment where US soldiers can now return knowing that the wrested control of the country from Al-Qaeda bombers and pulled Iraq back from the brink of civil war.
McCain opposes torture, will do away with signing statements, wants to restore our liberty's and freedoms that were eroded under Bush.
thomaslee3 4 years ago
Please post video links of McCain making the points you have stated. There is no more of a political solution in Iraq today then there was two years ago. Our continued presence will never contribute to reconciliation and our soldiers will never be safe. McCain may oppose torture, but I've not heard him oppose the Patriot Act or the Real ID. Show me I'm wrong, please.
bbburton 4 years ago
The surge has created the current stability in Baghdad and has created an environment for a political solution. It is now up to the Iraqis to come up with the political solution to their problems. It is impossible to come to any political solution when there is an active civil war raging outside. At least give him credit for the more stable environment over there.
thomaslee3 4 years ago
McCain deserves no credit for Bush's war, and certainly no credit for the current state of affairs in Iraq. If elected president, he would continue to make the same mistakes Bush has made in Iraq. This war is illegal and no amount of surge is going to change that fact. At every opportunity to end the war McCain has refused. McCain has earned the ridicule and distrust given to him by the public as is shown in the polls.
