This band is awsome if it wasnt that roger was toruing next year with the wall id be going to watch them again (as they REALLY were that good last time).
I saw Pink Floyd play Dark Side of the Moon for their opening set and then play Meddle for the second set in Tucson, Arizona in the early 70's.. This show was mind blowing. If you weren't there you **missed it.** The following year I saw Pink Floyd playing Dark Side of the Moon again in Tucscon, Arizona. Again, if you weren't there you missed it. Pink Floyd without a doubt had the best live shows. A tribute band will NEVER capture the magic of a real Pink Floyd show..
no shit Sherlock. This is a TRIBUTE band, not fucking pink floyd. They are amazing, and i really enjoyed seeing them the two times that i did. Ive never seen Pink Floyd, probably to do with the fact that im 16. But ive seen Roger Waters twice and i still found this show very enjoyable. Its just about the music, not always whos playing it.
Aussie Floyd plays and AWESOME show! i dont care what any body says. They are one of the best tribute bands out there. They have even been booked by floyd originals such as Gilmour. They are awesome. I see them every time they come around. So So sad that the original floyd is no more, but these guys pay an awesome tribute to them!! so all you haters, SHUT UP!! take your negativity somewhere else. thank you. have a nice day.
These guys are awesome. You are not going to see Pink Floyd ever play again so sit back, smoke a bowl or drink a few beers and let these guys take you back to the day! We will be seeing them play in Washington DC on the 7th of October. This will be the 5th time I've seen these guys and unfortunately only was able to see Pink Floyd once.
Just won tickets for these guys in Chicago, was planning on buying them but it totally slipped my mind until I heard something on the radio and got lucky. I can't wait!
Sounds like a funny way to make a 'living'. The lead singer needs to put on more weight, though, and drop his voice about an octave. Maybe after touring for a few more years and maturing, their voices will sound more 'similar to'. Really, though, not bad. It's just good to hear the music again live. I saw PF in KC a number of yrs back ('94)... what a show, unfolding metal flower and all!!
Hey man, everybody can put their opinion here, not just the people who like it. Thats how other people get a feel for it. If only positive things were said there would be no point to comments or message boards.
They are good and they are fun to see (probably for those who didn't see Floyd in the day, but they ARE NOT PINK FLOYD.
What's next? the Australian Paul McCartney?? come on guys! I'd rather see David Gilmour Live. They are very good, as musicians... the Instrumental music is the only thing that's the same.. or similar. What ever happened to originality??
I suppose for people who didn't grow up on Pink Floyd, it's probably a cool concert to see.
ok guys, criticize all you want. I'm ready. But it won't change my mind.
@ogikehigh - You're right! It's about the music. If a tribute band can play as good as Floyd, then that's just as good. One of my best friend's the lead singer in a PHILADELPHIA Pink Floyd tribute band. They're called.....THINK PINK FLOYD. CHECKOUT THEIR WEBSITE. THEY PLAY OLD FLOYD AS WELL AS THE NEW! GREAT BUNCH OF GUYS & ALL ARE EXCELLENT MUSICIANS!!!
for someone who is 54 and has seen pink floyd, yeah, maybe not impressive.
for someone who is a lot younger, like myself, and will NEVER get to see them, these guys are awesome. i've seen them twice, they are spot on and for the price i saw them (23 bucks) you will not see a better show. i'd pay a lot more to go see them again.
I don't really get this mindset. It sounds like you can't enjoy Floyd's music played live unless it's played by the original band which is never likely to happen again because they're done. Yet these guys put on a complete PF style show and sound practically as good as PF, and if not for knowing they're a tribute band, you'd probably enjoy the hell out of yourself if you went instead of whining about them.
I suspect this is a problem with your life generally.
I saw them last year on both days! My dad got one too many tickets so I got to go with him on Saturday and with my stepmom on Sunday! We were in the third row! It was SO AWESOME!
I seen them on saturday too! :D omFG amazing :D so much like the real thing..alothough could do with a new lead singer...hes sooooo full of himself...lol solo's = ACE
I don't know, this lead singer on this particular song doesn't sound like David Gilmour. The instrumentals are great but the guy can't sing like David much. It sort of makes me sad that they, (pink floyd), are over and there even needs to be a cover band. Cries.
Im going to see these guys on Saturday cant wait, never seen the real Pink Floyd so i just gotta pretend these guys are the real deal lol , every year i go to see MacFloyd , ther another good tribute band.I hope they start with echoes and end with comfortably numb
1408--I was intrigued by your certainty concerning the seating setup. First I assume you are talking about the Halifax setup, as it appears you responded to Fox, who was responding to Cory. Having never been there I can only rely on the seating chart, which clearly shows the rows identified by #. Many venues have rows identified by letter. But when 2 people call it by number, this hardly deserves a "dumbass". Perhaps they counted to 7. If I have something wrong, I apologize.
Just saw them in Halifax last night, row 7! The second best show ever after my 4th row Rush concert. They put on the most theatrical and wicked show ever! They sound just like the real Floyd. If you are a Floyd fan, you MUST see this show!!! 10/10!!!
Saw them last Wednesday at the Fillmore in SF. My buddy said i would enjoy, wasn't sure, but wow, about as close to watching original as you can get! Definitely would recommend!!
For al the guys who think they are losers and so on: they're not. They're the only Pink Floyd-coverband that David Gilmour actually says they're a coverband. So when even he thinks they're a perfect coverband, they are. And that's not a matter of liking them or not. Cause i bet most of u wouldn't even tell the difference between a covered and an original song. So Fuck off all you jerks who say " the bend in the solo sucks" 'cause it doesn't. These guys are talented. Respect.
seen this guys about a month ago amazing easily the best band i have seen(not old enougth to have seen pink floyd)great gig in the sky and one of these days were unreal.
Seen these 3 times now. They're the best band I've ever seen, tribute or otherwise. When the disco ball descends on Comfortably Numb in their live show I get goose pimples.
I saw these guys a few years ago and it was the most incredible live thing I have ever experienced. There is no other way for today's generation to experience Pink Floyd's live show the way they first intended it.

I CANNOT do this. Pink Floyd is completely sacred to me, and this is shit. You cannot do Pink Floyd. I don't care about the lights, the setup, whatever. The vocals sound like someone from Green Day. Argh.
Considering david gilmour personally got them to play at his birthday, i think you have no basis to say this band is rubbish, and they are doing a damn good job of pink floyd!

They sound like them, I totally admit that, but it's not Pink Floyd. People say "We're never going to see Floyd, so this is the next best blah blah blah", well then buy Pulse (Pink Floyd DVD) and turn it up, it's the same fucking thing. Don't settle for something that's literally NOT Pink Floyd. It seems like a no-brainer to me. You can't tell me I'm not making sense.
So the next time you are skulking away in the toilet having a five knuckle shuffle - ask yourself if its the real thing - no of course its not - but like the guys above and Pink Floyd - its the closest YOU are going to get - YOU TOSSER!!!!
I've seen them live and they are note for note better than the original on stage. One of the best shows I've ever seen and I've seen hundreds of shows.

I mean, it's not Pink Floyd. It may sound like them in the instruments, but in that case it's just Dark Side turned up really loud. It's simple, it's not Pink Floyd unless it is Pink Floyd.
You are such an arrogant prick mate, and even if they were still doing gigs, not everybody has the possibility (financially and geographically spoken) to watch the real deal.
I was there also better than last year, but they didn't have the inflatables this year, tell all your friends I went from 2 last year to getting 15 people this year we do want them to come back and not okc, did you get any good pics? I think we have 175 haven't seen any yet, the show did rock.
Saw these guys for the 2nd time at the Tower Theater in Philly on 11/10/2007. They are better than the real Pink Floyd and I've seen both. They duplicate the album/CD cuts to a tee. The original band very rarely duplicate the originals. And anyway David Gilmour is acting like an asshole. He's the one keeping the original Pink Floyd from getting back together. So be it dude, he's got about 10 more years then its over.
Saw them in Manchester, NH last Friday, sooo sick. Coulda done without the two post-Waters songs they played though, that's not Pink Floyd.
What really pissed me off was people constantly going up and down through isles during songs. If you need to piss in the middle of a song, hold it, and if you don't make it back before the start of the next, wait at the top.
what a buch of fags trying to be what they cant be...nah just kidding!! awesome band they really do a amazing job comparing to others i listen to..keep up good work!!
Amazing light show great performance and talent, these guys set an example of how nowadays rock must be ,an extension of Pink Floyd Jimi hendrix Led Zeppellin NOT

The sit list was pretty sick for Hartford....
They played all of Dark Side of the Moon first.
Then they played various songs from a lot of different albums. Hey You, Comfortably Numb, Pigs, Shine On You Crazy Diamonds, Wish You Were Here,

I just saw them in Caracas, Venezuela. They are fantastic, very talented. This is the closest you'll ever be to a Pink Floyd concert nowadays.

Haha dude, I was there! And you were sitting a ways in front of me based on the angle.
The lights/visuals at that concert were the best I've ever seen. I consider myself ruined for life.
