  • Billy Andrews is a very close friend of mine from down here in Clinton, LA. I can't wait to show him this. No matter what, Joe Namath will always remember who Billy is.

  • Thanks for posting. Spent my Saturday night watching , and enjoyed every minute. I was13 when I first saw this. Don't remember much. The game progressed so much smoother without all the commercials cluttering it. Today, every time someone farts they break for 2 or 3. It's also great to see a running game mean something. Today it all revolves around passing. Thanks again. It was a total joy to watch.

  • The interception at 0:21 of this clip remains the seminal moment in "Monday Night Football" history.

  • THIS IS AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU

  • I saw this game in 1970 and felt that the Jets were probably 7 points better than Cleveland and the questionable officiating gave Cleveland a huge advantage,. Now, 41 years later, after watching it again, I have to amend that to 14 points better. In Super Bowl lll the Jets didn't make the mistakes they made here....they beat Cleveland up and down the field the same way they did Baltimore.....they also beat themselves with the errors.

  • Don't forget a ball with stripes. Rod Serling selling Fords.

  • And Cleveland was good in this era.

  • @careal Yup. They were coming off back-to-back appearances in the NFL championship game. The Jets had just won the Super Bowl in 1968.

  • Having seen all parts of this game-- thanks to the one who posted it. Wow, the differences in football then... almost always a FB and a HB, who split ball-carrying; wideouts in 3-pt. stances; 15 yards for holding; goal posts on the goal line; hash marks placed ? yds. further toward sideline, still having long and short sides in playcalling strategy; head coaches wear ties; kickoffs from the 40; missed FG into end zone is touchback, no matter from where on field; blitzing very rare in this game.

  • @cynic2all , and the commercials were great themselves. there were more cigarette ads then beer ads! WOW! I was also amused how the players didn't really hustle back to the huddle. oh and Fair Hooker? what a name!!!!

  • Welcome to the NFL, Joe.

  • The Jets and Browns were still good going into 1970. Which is why this game was a good selection for the first game ever on MNF.
