Makes me laugh a bit, just like when Bowie sung "Alabama Song". He never had the time to go back to his early seventies song and do something like that. I don't mean the dancing, fascinating at first but once the surprise is gone it's only OK.
Nevertheless I watched it with great pleasure. For a moment I recalled some images of Bowie as a mime. That was good too.
To whom it may concern: Tally Brown's film will be screened this saturday at the Anthology Film Archives in NYC as part of Rosa Von Praunheim's retrospective.
Update: Rosa Von Praunheim was tehre to introduce the film. After the screening, he introduced a pianist who worked for Tally Brown. Also there was one of the original cameramen, who worked on the film. Stunning New York experience.
Wow! One of Bowie's best songs, and regrettably, one that he never chose to play live. How nice to hear a new rendition. Very haunting and sad, yet completely beautiful!
This is fantastic... It's weird, I'm a extream David Bowie fan and I have been looking for this film "Tally Brown, New York" for over five years. I had no idea this was a part of it. Do you know of any way to obtain a copy of any format of the film
