You have to practice alot against a Long Pip player especially Halmark Original. Which by the it's no longer legal. I just hate it when players complain about Long Pips that they are trash or a cheaters game. If you practice against a smooth rubber all the time you will definitely lose against a long pip player. Even the Top professional players have fallen victim against it so don't fell bad if you lose. Just practice and formulate a strategy against it.

I play top level in UK and Wally Green is talking trash, you do not know how to play this rubber and for someone as apparently as good as you to lose as you have no patience is lame and only deluding yourself. Yeah that rubber is pretty crazy! Very strange returns against the loops and pushes. In order to play against this rubber you need a lot of patience which I didnt have that day. If you like long pips, this rubber is definitely for you! If thats your game and you wanna drive your opponent crazy then you need to get that rubber! Hallmark Original! But dont worry Hallmark, next time you going down!

listen fool first of all lets get this straight.... Do you know what was my condition that day or what happened the night before? Or do you even know anything at all. this is the only way to loose against longe pimples: makin top spin and back spin...you have to wait the right ball, and than attack, if the ball return(a really bad ball) wait for the next oppurtunity, don't be hasty(i use the Original on my backhand too). Long pimple are really dangerous only on the balls with a lot of spin...

Wally, whether that rubber is garbage or not is open to debate, but one thing which remains without question and that is: your game did not look unlike "garbage" when you played against it. As for not getting very far with it, the guy you played progressed better in that event than you did. I checked and he beat you 4-0!

You did not lose to Hallmark original as much as you lost to the player using it. It takes skill to use this rubber just as it takes skill to use inverted. The player in this video happens to be rock solid with it. I am going to guess your intentions going into this game were to have patience, but due to his consistency level I think he wore you down, correct me if I am wrong?

Lol no he didnt wear me down a all. I dont get tired or worn down. Actually i just never play against that rubber if I did it wouldnt have been so difficult. I have beaten some of the best long pips players in the country but that rubber is just strange thats all. And please dont forget people use that because of their lack of skill.

Wally, When I said "he wore you down" I think I meant he wore down your patience, not your energy . I would agree that most people use it because of there lack of skill, but to get to 22/2300 level like this guy has takes skill with Hallmark Original. Players at that level don't get fooled or at least should not get fooled by it as its just slick almost plastic pips then can't generate any spin. All it can do is return your own spin so if you give it nothing, then you get nothing.

To answer your query, no I am not yet at that level nor will I ever be because for me table tennis is a hobby, not a vocation. I have seen the other videos where you are featured and it is obvious that you are a very good player, but that was just terrible. A demonstration on how not to play against frictionless LP.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but according to the latest ITTF equipment list this rubber will live on past the ban. I do not know the reasons for this as this rubber is about as frictionless as it gets.
