first off it wasn't even 10 cents. 2.559 was the price, you are paying 2.56 because the nine in 2.559 is a hundredth which in turn is rounded up so anytime you see that hundredth 9 is because of taxes blah blah blah and in turn the gas price really isn't 2.55 it is 2.56. now to be honest you stopping your tank at .999 is your fault if you click the hand one more time so it is an even 1 gallon i promise it would not have changed the price at all... and yes the clerk would have gave you your penny

QT makes little to no profit from gas. at this price its around 3 or 4 cents. The reason why you didn't get that last little bit of a gallon is because of the way the tax calculations are set up. Be angry at the oil companies. They have far more control over the price of gas than any gas station.
