There is no advantage like a mechanical advantage which is why the truck was changed from a stock 3.73 gear to a 5.13 gear ratio. The 5.3 can churn out plenty of power for this setup as it sits I've smoked stock f150s and stock Z's all day the advantages the diesel has is in the drive train not the engine

@33Collingwood lol was hoping u would make another stupid comment. Its a version of the 5300day vortec v8 known as the lm7 iron block and aluminum heads. Tune,long tubes,intakr,and straight exhaust puts me above stock hp and changing the stock 3.73 gears for 5.13 gears more than makes up for he added weight and taller tires. Compared to a stock z71 or stock f150 its equally as quick if not quicker. Once again wheres your ride oh and let me knoe if you have anymore questions

@yfzfofitty06 Short wheelbase will actually make it harder to flip sideways. Now a narrow wheelbase will make it more prone to flipping sideways, but not nearly as much as jacking it up higher. Of course you could put a wider wheelbase on it afterwards, but then you severely sacrifice how many places the truck will actually fit in.

And this whole discussion was about fruitbooting132's comment, which was 100% about his Ranger having more clearance.
