  • What does it say on the head? Maestro?

  • coda

  • Better than me bud.

  • I broke my b string on my 12 string ibanez trying to go up a step and a half

  • What a great cover. Mind telling me what instrument you're using there my friend?

    Many thanks.

  • Hey man, great cover. you did this by ear?

  • Waoww awesome dude..!!

is it possible to play this song on std tuning..?

  • @skrish145 EADADE

  • @MattCupz In live performances Page plays it in that tuning you ignorant ass

  • @MaggotBrain123 oh shit sorry, i didnt know u were reffering to live. no need to go insulting me though. u could have just explained youself...

  • Yes but is thery hard

  • @MrDorin11111 You mean theory? It's hard if you learned guitar in a traditional rock sense. Well... It's hard to apply theory to a guitar if, like me, you learned the two separately. I was playing guitar for two years before I started taking theory courses, and though the theory courses are easy enough, I can't really transfer the knowledge. If you just started playing, then you should learn theory along with the guitar so that you can transfer between the two more easily.

  • Nice job Spitfire9.. I was 15 when the song remains the same came out in the theaters.... I went every freaking day. Even got caught stealing my lil brothers paper route money cause i was broke.. LOL

  • cool dude!! can i knw wat guitar r u using?

  • @jazzclubbb its called a guitar

  • Very nice. I had a gibson doubleneck I bought in ''1980 brand new. It cost $950 and would not stay in tune through a whole song. I know that's not a gibson, but at least it was as close to in tune as you can keep a double neck. Good job.

  • yeah, feeling makes this song. This is an ultimate love ballad, and it should be played as such.

The hesitation before hitting a note isn't written in a music. But the hesitation before one takes the plunge isn't written anywhere either. You feel it.

  • sweet!!!!!

  • Page plays The Rain Song on the six string part of the guitar, and the song remains the same on the 12. probably wouldve been much easier to tune if you did it that way, but it sounds cool on the 12. Nice job

  • i know that. i only did this to see how it sounded. tuning wasnt as bad as people make it seem

  • Haha, I was just thinking to myself, 'Why the hell have I never tried this?!" And then I remembered; I haven't done it because it would take 10 minutes to tune it. lol

  • damn, december 14, 2006 old video :D

  • great job sounds great i play it all the time do u use the tuning D G C G C D

    that what i used

  • Timing and execution could use some work, nice job.

  • good job

  • Great Job, I love this song and you did an amazing cover!!! btw, is it hard to play it? I mean, for someone witha year of playing experience?

  • uhhh well, there are quite a few odd chord shapes in the song, as well as the whole new tuning...but i think someone with a years experience could handle it

  • yeah but they wouldn't play it right man...

Don't forget the feeling when playing these kinda songs

  • @pizaa007 dude its really easy. just the tuning is weird. DGCGCD. from low E to high e. so... the big one down :P as for the chords. if u know what a A7 is ull be able to find the main parts just playing by ear. as for the slide down is a F minor shape into a A minor. then down to the 4th fret and play what looks like a Ccad. then down to a A chord shape and position on the second fret. if you get what any of this means then this song will be easy for u.

  • no, the expensive ones were actually signed

  • Wow out of all the people trying to imitate Led Zeppelin, you are definetly #1

  • that guitar has to be a bitch to string lol

  • worst part tuning

  • No its fine really. As long as you arent retarded when it comes to tuning, then if you are just use a tuner. As long as you get all the slack out of the strings properly and set it up right. The only thing you need to worry about is string breakage which happens a lot.

  • Rly, so nice =))

  • Beautiful :)

  • This is my favorite song in the whole wide world and you did a great job of playing it. :)

  • hey man you must be teaching me!

    you're pretty amazing

  • why are you not in a band!??!!

  • i dont know why, but i have the epiphone and for some reason i play it every day, and, i tuned it december 25, (when i got it), and it still hasent gone out of tune, and it still has the crapy epiphone tuners it it.

  • cool guitar how much does it cost?

  • that one? bout $1,000. but thats the epiphone. the gibson is around $4,000.

  • Acutally this one was 300$ and its not an epiphone. I put gibson pickups in it so it cost me a total of 500$. Plays great too.

  • oh ok. well it just kinda looks like the epiphone headstock.

  • $300 for a guitar like that? Where the hell did you pick that up?

  • he put nice pickups in it but theyre cheap as hell

  • damn naw gibson its about 20k or so measuring the range 15-30k

  • nah theyre $5000 new

  • you sure its not epiphone

  • i know for a fact its not the the epiphone i have the epiphone. but this guys guitar sounds pretty nice he put gibson pickups in the 12

  • i know that already

  • well you said $20,000......

  • I was thinking of like page used them and stuff

  • what?

  • a signed guitar by page

  • Marine incident91....I believe for the live recording in the Song Remains the Same soundtrack he used the doubleneck for Rain Song...you are right about the studio recording on Houses of the Holy. ...it was 3 12 string guitars or two 12 strings and one 6 string. Well done

  • well done Spitfire9. Sounds nice. I owned a Gibson double neck...couldn't wait to get rid of it. It's bulky and awkward to play. Plus the cutaway is short reducing upper reached. Also it's tough to keep in tune. However if you want to pull of the Jimmy Page and Alex Lifeson look you'll need it. I think most users go back to a string in the end. Keep in mind Page only used it for live performances and all those songs were done on 6 strings. Happy Holidays

  • U sure? I beleive he used 3 separate layers of 12 string guitar tracks on The Song Remains the Same...but i could be wrong.

  • yea some people that about the gibson eds 1275 i heard its awkward to play and the sound isnt what you expect is that true?

  • oofty! that is just beautiful. if someone played me that i think id die inside ! (in a good way)

  • hey does that ktone double neck play pretty good? i am thinking about buying one.

  • if i were you i wouldn't buy a double neck unless u have a normal 6 string, cuz they are quite awkward guitars at times

  • Why didn't you do the final strum to end the song? ._.

  • hahaha i did, but youtube cut the end of my video off

  • Is that a ktone double neck? I saw one like that on ebay.

  • Nope, Starfire.

  • dude thts awsome

  • DUDE!! u look like robert plant!!

  • Do you even know what Robert Plant looks like?

  • actually I've been told that by many people when i used to have my hair that way. Everyone said i used to look like Robert plant when he had somewhat of a goatee

  • duh i know what robert plant looks like, thats why i said it

  • Lol since the only two things you've said are "fuck you" and "Are you retarded?"... I would say you are the one who's retarded. Post legitimate comments please, not the garbage you have been posting.

  • btw rain song tuning is DGCGCD, soundin good though!

  • I used the live tuning...

but yeah, the studio is DGCGCD

  • oooh I want a eds-1275 they look delicious.

  • I got a double neck two. I got stairway check it out. nice job,

Last time I tuned it up to the live tuning of this song I snapped the second G string lmao. Never tried it again on the 12, only the 6

  • i just hate ur guitar, to metallic, i like the see through worn out cherry finish, but nice job

  • i put some gibson pickups to repace the cheap ones in the 12 side, so it prob doesnt sound so bad any more

  • That sounds fantastic dude

  • Haha so freaking awesome, and Shwitty I think its a Spitfire, doesnt have sustain like a gibson and the headstock looks odd but then again I haven't heard a Epiphone double neck either....so idk

  • how long did it take u to tune all 12 strings? lol

  • Very, very nice guitar. And not too bad playing either :) Good job :)

  • that sounded good nice job man

  • if youve seen my other videos, my cameras audio doesnt sync with the video when uploaded

  • Wait, I think I found it. Is that guitar a Starfire?

  • yes sir

  • Well, congrats. That is one neat looking piece of equipment. Nice playing too! I was thinking of buying a doubleneck myself, though the only time I ever played one was at German music store: the EDS-1275. Sounds awesome, but incredibly expensive (and it weighs a ton...)

  • mine has ripped through2 straps in about the last 5 months

  • What guitar are you playing? Does anyone recognise the model?

  • its a eds 1275

  • hahhhaa mang^ jokes! COOl

  • thats a nice guitar mang

  • Nice good job
