She forces it too much. And on some passages I find the sound unpleasant. Although it certainly is one of the most demanding pieces, I think it should sound more effortless and poised. Compare for example to Sumi Jo (my favorite), Roberta Peters or Natalie Dessay

Que vestido!!!! muy buena interpretación...pero lo que hace a una opera interesante es no solo la historia y la música si no también los sentimientos con que la transmitenen el escenario. Si le enseñaramos una opera con esta actuación a "x" persona que no sepa nada de Mozart te va a decir que le pacere un poco aburrido.

Do opera singers usually get to see costume ideas before signing their contracts? If I were here, the costume designer(s) would have needed bodyguards for putting me in such a freaking get-up after the fact of me signing a contract to sing the role. I'd have wound up in jail for homicide. LOL!

Why is it that there are so many productions of this opera where they use the weirdest costumes, ever?!? I just saw one in my home town of Modesto and I think they were going for the African princess look, but she ended up looking like a lion or something. It wasn't my favorite as far as sets or costumes. There was one I saw on youtube with Erika Miklosa wearing something that had two lights strategically placed on her chest....if you know what I mean. Bizarre!

Mini Luciana Serra. The coloratura would be cleaner, especially the triplets, if the sound was as free as it is bright, which would take a more attention to the breath. Surprisingly good though. We'll see how long she lasts.

Her coloratura is very clear, though not very porwerful compared to, say, Damru or Sumi Jo.

But her dress just owns them all.
