Sometimes she's been called a difficult person, but I think the same goes with everybody whos a bit feisty and edgy like Shirley is. And comparing her to poptarts we have now is impossible. Shirley is so much more, in every way a woman can. I hope we get more of her now that Garbage is recording again. An interview with Ferguson would be a great start.

Well Shirley does sing with an American accent on her records, even back in the 80's when she was with an all-Scottish band. If you go to her shows however you'd notice her stage sing is heavily accented.

The "Craig Ferguson personality" is actually the way she is when she is on his show. The reason Craig is the BEST talk show host is because he makes them feel so relaxed. Especially with women, he developed an ability to make them feel free. He is very sexual but in a totally non offensive way, it's almost as if he is gay. Yet the fact he is not gay makes the girls open up AND be sexually free, and this is a very empowering state for a lot of woman who grow in homes that did not allowed emotions

@neoautism You are so right. I hardly know any of these people he's having as guests, yet I love watching the interviews... Because of Craig. No other host (at least not the main ones like Letterman - imo, esp. not Letterman) has the ability to make it seem like there's kind of a special bond (?) with his guest.

I'm just wondering (I can't tell, I'm from Austria, the only American talk show we can watch is Leno, so yeah) why the other ones are more successfull. Or are they? I dunno.

@Juliexo06 Hi fellow European :) There was a TV Show "The Battle for Late Night", search it on youtube ;). It will give you a good late night background. The problem is that for many Americans having "Tutzi-Frutzi" earlier then the current time frame Craig is on right now will not be something they will allow. I think Craig knows it, and when Dave will retire Craig will probably replace him, but then the show will not be the same, ever. So we all must enjoy our Craig for as long as we can!
