The players have conceded all financial points and only want their free agency to be actual free agency. The players want to be able to move and compete. It's obvious that you've never been an athlete or realize how short the career of the average athlete is...Most NBA players play about 3.5 years. Almost 60% of the players end up broke at the end of their careers. The highest paid players are a small percentile of what most players get paid and even though it may be a lot of money their profession creates jobs. Where would the hot dog man, the ticket takers, the clean up crew, the score board operator, the security or any of the other people.

Its a lil bit more to it than just about the current money the NBA players are earning. The owner want to change and keep the percent from player to owner 57% [owners share] to 43% [players share] which was a 4% decrease in pay for the players.

Well......best to do some research before talking about a subject. 22 teams said they actually lost out on money last season. So what did owners want? To cut salaries by 40% and create a tight hard cap that would "increase competition". So yeah....I totally see the players point on this. I think the players are greedy for how they are doing business and the owners are greedy for wanting to screw players.

The only thing they do is play they don't have to deal with team management, run the arenas that the teams play in, and handle a shit load of other stuff on the business end. They just have to stay healthy, stay out of trouble, and play the game.

It's obvious that you've never been an athlete or realize how short the career of the average athlete is...Most NBA players play about 3.5 years. Almost 60% of the players end up broke at the end of their careers. The highest paid players are a small percentile of what most players get paid and even though it may be a lot of money their profession creates jobs. Where would the hot dog man, the ticket takers, the clean up crew, the score board operator, the security or any of the other people.

@PaperChaseEntGroup They end up broke because they do not manage there money and think because they are a pro baller they have to spend astronomical amounts of money on things that depreciate in value! i.e. jewelry, cars, clothes,etc...the only thing that appreciates is real estate! If they had financial planners and didn't let Ray-Ray and them constantly ask for a hand out they would be able to live off of there money.

Why do athletes end up broke? because they dont know how to spend or manage their money. There are ppl out here with way less money that any 3 string, last round draft pick or bench rider is getting paid that function perfectly well because they unlike over paid athletes understand how to budget, manage money and not try to live a life they cant afford

And my point is that the lockout is dumb and needs to end...i even mention in the video the "little ppl" who are out of work with no money that work because of the games (clean up crew ect) My personal opinion however is that i could care less about basketball this season and dont plan to watch

Its a lil bit more to it than just about the current money the NBA players are earning. The owner want to change and keep the percent from player to owner 57% [owners share] to 43% [players share] which was a 4% decrease in pay for the players.

1. the OWNERS started the lockout.
2. the players arent fighting 4 more money. they r fighting 4 the future players who they feel will get taken advantage of if todays players dont stand up against the owners.
3. the players WANT 2 play. but they SHOULD NOT play for anything LESS then what they are WORTH.
4. its not just about rich ppl tryna get richer. its about a UNION fighting for WORKERS RIGHTS. at the end of the day, they're workers. this is all cuz they cant reach a cba. is negotiations.

Im sure at a certain point and time a team goes over what they can really afford to give that player and what that player is worth just to get them on their team and have a big name in their city.....so at what point can you really say how much a player is worth to a team? or in general

Well......best to do some research before talking about a subject. 22 teams said they actually lost out on money last season. So what did owners want? To cut salaries by 40% and create a tight hard cap that would "increase competition". So yeah....I totally see the players point on this. I think the players are greedy for how they are doing business and the owners are greedy for wanting to screw players.
