Has anyone noticed the "fad" of ministers today doing forums on theology and defining what their ideologies as orthodox while trying to quiet critics? Seems fadish and ecumenical to me. They are hearing and seeing the blogs that are critical of what is has been and is going on in ministries for the last 3 decades that is not scriptural
By the way, did any of you folks even go to the Elepahnt Room? How can any of you profess a statement that TD Jakes is not a brother. The only basis we have to come close to judging a mans heart is stated in Matthew 7:15-20, which says “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits." TD Jakes is not a heretic, and I strongly challenge all to watch the Elephant Room 2.
@cosgonz The prosperity gospel in it's self is heresy enough,the modelism is a heresy that was identified as such over a thousand years ago.We can't call everyone brother who says the word Jesus a few times in their sermons.The Bible tells the church to"MARK" heretics and to protect the flock from the wolves and to call these wolves by name as Paul did.T.D.Jakes is a known heretic by Biblical standards not by someone who just might have a problem with his looks or some other fleshly thing.
It makes me sad to see the responses of people's hearts in regard to the Elephant Room and the men who are there. As a body of believers, we are supposed to come together and talk about the things that need to be talked about instead of hiding behind blogs and messages. I hear all this criticism about Pastor James. Have any of you ever set foot in his church? I thank the Lord for his trasnparency and his obedience when God calls him to do the hard things....

Dr. Mohler refused to give me his testimony. What kind of brother does that?

Jakes of the meeting at elephant room since no one from your staff or radio responded. I consider such discussions without the accused knowing gossip.

I think it's safe to assume none of you do too. Therefore, we ought not to judge something that hasn't happened. The plan could be to openly reprove Jakes. No to mention, one of the conversations that jakes will be in is on doctrine. Know what happens before you make a call about their opinion of Jakes is. Out.
Removing the video and related blog posts sure looks like "hiding" to me. The topic of Jakes' theology isn't even on the agenda so far (see the "topics likely to be featured" in the sponsorship package on the ER blog site). But hey, stuff like this will at least "torque up" the interest in getting your "brand identity to air in rotation" for some potential sponsors.

James is just smug enough and displays an ego collosal enough to dare to instruct 2000 years of Christianity that doctrinal support of key theology and the need to contend for the Faith as written in The Bible were all wrong when God commands seperation from those who espouse false doctrine and make merchandise of Gods flock. Mark and avoid men like this... they are vain and spiritually deluded.

Why is this an issue, you know the word how can you be calling Jakes a brother when he is not? Those who teach the false gospel of Sabellianism (Oneness) are not "brothers". According to the writings of the apostles (scripture) they are enemies of the cross of Christ.
