When I was about 23 I played this on a jukebox but some moronic idiot with no idea about music tipped the machine to eject it and played some rebellious rubbish instead.
At the time I listened to motown, beatles, rolling stones, and all the other 60's music but I also enjoyed a bit of quality now and then and turned to stuff like this assuming there were no idiots around, I am no longer bothered about my favourite music of the time but never tire of listening to music like this.
Tony Williams did have a great voice. Saw him in Tokyo in 1962 after he had gone solo. Unfortunately his career as a soloist was not too successful. Yet at the same time the group also failed to continue with their past successes. Not unusual for most singing groups; somehow it begins to fall apart, egos get in the way of what got each of the group to where they were. Still, The Platters were superb.
@auroralight40 As John1948Ten said, you misread my comments. And while I am probably a little younger than you, I sadly no longer qualify to be called a "young people". ;-)
@auroralight40 I think you need to read Kram's comment again. There was no disrespect to the Platters in it. He was discussing the meaning of the lyrics.
Beautiful vocals. However, anyone couple who choses this as their song are clearly ignoring the lyrics. Basically, this song is about your hormones talking.
@Cephas Oh please, why does everyone have to be so full of it? Go check the lyrics. They are about love being blind. Blind to other's imperfections and the treachery of unfaithful lovers. Hormones obviously are involved with our emotions but to say this song is about hormones is akin to saying its about marijuana.

@jackeedog1 Old video, with updated digital audio. The audio that would have been on the original film would be mono and full of cracks and hisses.
