I too was moved. I have a form of Spina Bifida, which is a physical disability and not an intellectual one, but I can still identify with and be especially moved by what he said and HOW he said it. "Cowardice" is the perfect word to describe the attitudes of people who choose to make fun of the disabled (mentally or physically).
