Then re recording actual samples from my set and replacing each drum track with that. We're going to be blending a couple mics for each track including the entire set. And yes, it was also more convenient for my set has somewhat smaller toms. Thanks for the feedback :)

Sounds really great man... especially the playing... I just have one question regarding mic placement -- What's with the resonant-side mic'ing on the toms? It gives them a really "doing-ee" sound that doesn't fit with the rest of the drum sounds. It reminds me of old 70s and 80s metal when they didn't use resonant heads on toms. Was this an intentional decision? Or just one made out of convenience (not taking up room on the batter side)?
