  • the accumulator has a valve issue its not holding pressure the handbrake light wont go off either and your cruise control won't work it might just need the gas topped up or maybe a new pump mine's doing somthing like that

  • @garrypope60 Well that explains why I didn't have a working e-brake light (never used the ebrake so never noticed), and yeah my cruise didn't work either. I sold the car like that, I never knew who to talk to get it fixed.

  • the brake booster pump, pumps up the system to operating pressure. that is the buzzing noise. system pressure is stored in a nitrogen charged pressure "reservoir or tank" called the accumulator. this way the pump doesn't have to run 100%. it sounds like you have a problem with the nitro-charged accum. prob needs to be replaced. garage9 - jager
