  • This piece of music was originally much faster with a more solid bass. It is said to have been the very first speed garage tune and was described by Marschal Blucher as being 'fat'. Once again, Britain ruled the (air)waves

  • I can just imagine the British line advancing against the French during waterloo while this is playing

  • the original "COME AT ME BRO!" tune.

  • I am only 12 so I could be wrong but isn't the british march not used in the civil war between the british versus america and france but ireland didn't was a allie from the brirish in that time so the flag isn wrong cuz it has the cross of ireland I repeat I could be wrong I am only 12 Ps sorry fro my bad English I am dutch

  • @fc0utrecht0fan the Civil War was between americans from the north and south fighting over their beliefs about slavery this song was used in the Revolutionary war and the French Revolution.

  • oi blimey guvnor lemme get ma rooty tooty point n shooty yaw gan dawn mayte gawd save da qween

  • @itzxx420l33tHALOxxzz yes that is the jist o it but with slighltly less spelling (in posh british accent)

  • @itzxx420l33tHALOxxzz sort of sounds english...so i agree, i think

  • Soo fucking sick!!

  • In my country there have never been slavery.

  • @arkhibas what country do you live in

  • @arkhibas There has always been slavery back in the days, everywhere.

    Where're you from son?

  • @arkhibas Finland? yh i guess so, but slavery was more for country's with colonies so they could do such things as labour, Finland didn't pursue an empire so i guess they had no need for them. In Europe at the time their was plenty of poor white people to do the nasty work anyway,

  • I'm seeing a fundemental flaw in the way that the UK conducts itself on the world stage... Whent the banking crisis meant that huge cuts had to be implemented on the economy the government should have aid "No!" to the cuts. Instead we should have disputed the "Argentine Islands" off Antartica. Maybe landed some troops purporting to re-claim mining aparatus...Surely no-one would be so underhand..Yet every time there is a financial problem in Argentina the government deflects with las malvinas!OLD

  • dope is dutchskaters languege for cool or awesome so @ikkomuitNoordierland what did you mean withand are you from yhe nothernirelannds as you name says or just dutch or belgium because ik kom uit means I am from???

  • Oh yes, one more point ... if the British Empire was so oppressive how come we were the first to outlaw slavery and every former colonial member has based their whole legal system on English Common Law???

  • @wildcelt76 you are so wrong my friend. First of all the British Empire was one of the later Empires to abolish slavery. With one of the first nations being Persia to abolish slavery back in 550BC by releasing all the Jews in Babylon also with the construction of Persepolis by paid workers reflects this. The Slavery Abolition Act of 1833 is what I think you are referring to and it was abolished in France in 1794 and the list gos on. Being British I wish you were true but the fact is your not.

  • @harrow86 Beat the Americans to it, but better late then never eh?

  • @wildcelt76 They also limited how much of America the colonists could colonize and prohibited hostility against natives which is why the Americans rebelled.

  • @wildcelt76 Your American? you'd know the victors write the history books. anyone with a brain would know what you've just said...and what RSV2GLTCHGUY said...but the victors write the books.

  • @wildcelt76 The British Empire was not benign if you are trying to imply that. In fact the Empire was extremely racist. Whites would not speak English to their servants for fear of giving them 'ideas above their station' and the English had a self righteous view that they were out to civilise the natives. White colonists also often used practically slave labour and reprisals against rebellion were savage and without mercy (Just look at the Indian 'Mutiny'.

  • @wildcelt76 i ask myself the same question.

  • It makes me laugh when these Argentines speak of democracy when the whole world has seen their version of it. Hold down a stable government for a few decades, become a strong nation with a good world standing & you might have the Falkland Islanders' interest ... saying that you'd probably be South American about it & kick them off & repopulate with people named Ramirez and Lopez

  • I could SWEAR Hagman in Sharpe uses this same song with different lyrics - something more bawdy about a soldier on sentry duty.....?

  • @NobleKorhedron there are probably many versions but this is the main one (at least of what i found anyway)

  • @NobleKorhedron The song you are think about is rogue march

  • @FtEustis69: Are you sure? I'm pretty sure it's just this, and the exact same tune, just the typical soldier's practice of making up new lyrics..... #LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @NobleKorhedron My bad I meant to put Gentleman Soldier. I have to Sharpe soundtrack and rogue march is right above it.

  • @NobleKorhedron type gentle man soldier in it sung by different people but its the same song that is the sentry song u refer too

  • This motivates me, I listen to this when I train. Very nice!

  • "Pardon, could you kindly move your pickelhauber over a touch so I might not collapse upon it to die as I've been shot?"

  • @maxtastic20 Thanks now i,ve got to go a find out what a pickelhauber is !!

  • @1225MAGNA Headgear worn by Imperial German infantry from about 1800 - 1918.

  • @maxtastic20 nice one your better then wikipeadia !

  • @1225MAGNA "Pickelhaube" literally means "Pointy Bonnet," an obvious reference to the design.

  • @dario2015 you still at dario ?....dont know where you are in argentina, but if you go right down to the end of argie land, you might see prince william in his helicopter, blow him a kiss and a wave from us .cheers argie

  • someone at our school died in train accident. it was horrible. you people have not experienced war. It's place where young ppl get killed. Those who should be building new life are dead. It's funny how short memory humans have...

  • Argentina .. Argentina already existed in 1916 which had not been issued is independence .. many foreigners took to land as their own and fought the English and Spanish colonialism "" "the Argentine Creole preferred to die than be a slave to the monarchies

  • I will not teach the British rivero the gaucho was the first inhabitant of the Malvinas ... fight and drive out the English until the late invasion fought to death .... the UK has not a single assertion to say that you are of them .. territorial distance, colonialism was not the first country to reach the hislas and was the first inhabitant of

  • Argentina always existed only thing that was not called so ... Island residents had charles darwin seconds .. saw as the villagers were massacred by the English ... nonsense must have to listen .. there is a book that I think I wrote the son says this event ... nation which has no name does not mean there is no .. the revolution was already beginning to take shape before invading England buenos aires

  • England talking banana republic has no comparison with Argentina has almost no natural resources., and if not for what they stole from the Scottish and Irish England is a very small island like Cyprus .. so have to leave your insignificant terrotorio to bring wealth to the Queen sipayo, cat, mule of the monarchy

  • @dario2015 Bitch please.

  • @dario2015 Dario ..you hate us with a vengeance don't you..!!!

  • @dario2015 I'm sorry, are you just stringing random nouns together? I can't understand if you are insulting England or Argentina anymore.

  • here are some Spanish song of the holy land banda a fragment. The truth of the peoples of Ireland Of the peoples of Ireland Where the invader He has gone off track The man who lived He died in freedom Close to home He defended his poverty He cried for pity's sake But the invader Unscrupulous killed Ready to conquer Another town another nation wanting to govern Impose their condition But they have to get Back to Ireland to rule them
  • cristina fernandez this by asserting the historical right of Argentina .. there is no single point in the world which may favor England and the kingdom divided. the islands are in america and england were not discovered by ... is but the first inhabitant was Argentine was a sailor .. finally came after France and England invaded Buenos Aires 1806 and was defeated .. then he seized the islands and seize of Ireland, from canada, gibraltad, jamaica, india, new zealand,

  • @dario2015 Why dont you quit whining, moanign and raging and just take the islands then? You do realise that 98% of the people on the island want to be BRITISH nor Argentine. Under your logic America should be handed back to the UK.

  • @dario2015 the state known as Argentina has only existed since 1826....just another backward banana republic

  • Cristina Fernandez's government is better government of Argentina took in more than 30 years. is the only government that asserted human rights condemning dictators. Argentina asked for forgiveness several times to several people .. England and the United Kingdom never did ... is more fun of the people .. ... kelpers are usurpers usurpers have no right to claim anything ...

  • England soamante not colonized, plunder and kill the queen but also colonized its neighbors ... but the pirates were no match for the Irish .. that if it is a people with guts .. not dominated by any crown left .. Now it is up to the Scots ... Malvinas, gibraltad and all colonies will disappear just need a little help from God and from Moscow and China to this end and settlers come home

  • Irish brothers to realize what your neighbors .. which by the way the Irish do not want much to the English ... I leave you here a song that sums up what is England ... pirate Willam ADMIRAL BROWN TRIBUTE

  • This will be played at my funeral.

  • many of the Nazis were in the last military dictatorship and are imprisoned for crimes to humanity .. in my country condemning the crimes of humanity ... we will see when they condemn England for all the crimes they committed

  • @dario2015 Those crimes were committed by people who are long dead now. Argentina still to this day has former Nazis living within its borders due to its post-war policies and formerly fascist system. You can say Britain has committed crimes, but don't even dare pretend that Argentina is innocent.

  • The Falklands are an outpost to keep an eye on all the NAZIS hiding in Argentina...

  • @noponat666 English very good joke .. between a Nazi and a little variation English hitler had the same principle that English pirate ... except that the English attacked and plunder weaker peoples to russia and hitler .. that without Russia and United States .. England would have been dominated by hitler ...

  • @dario2015 My friend, Hitler did try to take over England. Before his war with the United states or Russia. It failed pretty badly. An Island is very hard to take over. Englands Royal Air Force proved more than a match against the Luftwaffe. Not to mention, they would have to get by Canada as well. And in that time, Canada was truly a force to be reconed with. United states came in late and take much of the glory. Also, Hitler would never have beaton russia, many triend, many failed.

  • In England teach history? ..

Argentina has not a single colony .. England more than 10 .. kelpers = son of a thief, pirate and colonial usurper ...

  • @dario2015 Why are you so angry at the Brits? Is it because they beat you? The Falklands didn't WANT to be ruled by Argentina, neither does anyone else. I'm sorry, but the world hasn't forgotten that your government provided shelter for Nazis after WW2.

  • Worst of all is the sacking but the historical denial .. I wonder that made the English to 14000km of their land ... observations? fishing? recreational tour? ..

  • OMG I know how to play this on Violin!

I never knew the title of the song I just figured it out from the patriot;)

    Freakin Epic Song-epic video

  • A song so good, that America only put new words to it to make American; British Grenadiers, I salute you for the bravery you showed during the war and for having such an awesome tune.

  • I believe the falklands is argentinian... This can be corroborated by the hundreds of years that argentinia has occupied the... wait a minute... this can be evidenced by the conscripts that fought for a military junta because their own economy... wait a minute... the people of the falklands believe themselves british because they are... wait a minute... how about come on argentina, if you believethat the British won't fight to keep the Falaklands then you might as well believe in argentine democ

  • @TheDickyW They arn't you idiot they were british islands before the argies existed and if they wish to remain british let them do so you can't do anything about it

  • @1945Sovietunion He was being sarcastic... now you look like a dope!

  • @dario2015 Your argument makes about as much sense as saying Britain belongs to France because it is an island and its near and the people that live there and own the country should get lost.... Find something better to do than try and lay claim to a Country you have no right to and will NEVER possess.

  • as the centuries pass the English empire is seen as increasingly losing its colonies and its power ejemonico ... its economy is in the sack historical bazada the colonies .. is an international shame a country that implant in the Falklands population to believe that they own the sovereignty of the islands .. The Malvinas are Argentine and Latin American in a citizen .. we will not give up what is ours and that day will never arrive .... Pirates will have to go home "" "

  • @dario2015 the Argie's own nothing and it was made clear in the Falklands war.

  • ADMIRAL WILLAM BROWN TRIBUTE

  • England refuses to recognize their rights to Argentina .. because if they lose all their colonies ... England no longer exists in the world ... its economy is based on stealing the nations and colonies ...

  • @dario2015 Argentina has no rights to colonize anywhere. If it did, you'd have a lot more fascist states around today.

  • @KingLeonidas3267 the UK if you are entitled to colonize other countries .. it currently has 10 colonies ...

Argentina is not fascist .. but we do not want to hackers .. if that's being fascist is welcome ... Argentina not only claimed, Scotland, Spain and several countries want their English colonists back to their home ... the place that never should have left ...

  • @dario2015 The fuck?

  • @dario2015 No it isn't, it hasn't been for centuries............. The economy is based on trading with Europe and providing fiananical services.............. If Britian lost it's 14 overseas territories - the combined population of which don't equal that of a major city in Britain - it would not disappear.............. Do they only teach flawed and biased history in Argentinia or are you just a fool?

  • 're a fool or do you? if English is like asking yourself

  • 're a fool or do you? if English is like asking yourself

  • I'm American, And i just can't get this tune out of my head. Beautifully devised, elegant, simple and sweet. Such a great tune. For the former world's most powerful military.

  • china + 77 country malvinas = argentinas

  • @dario2015 What are you trying to say!?

  • @Khristophoros1001 is easy and simple to make a citizen referendum to see if he wants South America to England in america ...

and expusamos once and this time will be the final .. not going to see more colonialism or ameica or in the world ""

a more just world is to come out of england and america "" "

  • @dario2015 The Falkland islanders have decided in a referendum that they want to belong to the UK. And Britain won't discuss the future of the islands until the islanders decide they want to be Argentinian, which is very unlikely because Argentina tried to take the island by force!

  • @Khristophoros1001 're a fool or do you? if English is like asking yourself

  • @dario2015 The UK doesn't have any colonies left. They have some small overseas territories, areas that have chosen to be British. And Argentina doesn't have any rights to claim the Falklands because there aren't any people of Spanish decent on the islands, they have had a referendum where they said yes to being British, Argentina has never controlled the Islands for more then a few months.

  • @dario2015 If Argentina want the "malvinas" why dont they just invade them.

    Oh yeah.............

  • id like to say that americas yankee doodle is the best im afraid that i have been proved wrong by this song

  • American English and is able to devise conflicts easily .. themselves to realize what they are (pirates, imperialists and murderers) just to meet demand capitalist ... Get away, get out of people .... malvinas free ... The queen and the old bitch would have to be stopped by international invaders ... 33 countries voted to go to England malvinas ...

  • the English have to wonder if it's just what he is doing to many countries .... exclavisados we are in 2012 the colonies should not be more .. but it is clear that England is an island very insignificant both in human and economic as .. its economy is based on the plunder weaker peoples .. "" That's its essence .. I never saw an English oppose the war "" "

  • @dario2015 well that doesn't even happen anymore because we give aid to loads of diffrent countries.

  • and if I hate those bastards .. are you fucked up the British half the planet's life .. As United States ... states say stolen ....

  • hahaha mark my comments as spam .... is no logical truth thief wants to hear the story and the Americas as mark ... I hear about the 6 million penguins were killed by the British over fishing in the Malvinas???

  • listened to this while killing deathclaws on fallout new vegas it felt great

  • @dario2015 shut up you dickhead

  • love it, its a pity that the old british empire is gone now... and became this shit

  • @rogargaro15 we still have 14 overseas territories

  • @TheUlfarnator i am not saying about territories, i am saying about society, people.education,.. lol we can't even control the riots in london, remember last year? what the authorities did? nothing mate, a bunch of idiots, they should yuse fire guns, but no with this ridiculous idea of ''human rights'' they will fuck themselves, authorities in uk are too smooth and liberal... they should fuck all this gangs, kill of them. then, after they ask, why do we have so much gangs in uk?we needsomechange

  • @rogargaro15 That's right. Gun down the rioters. All that'll do is cause more riots you imebcile, and the authorities didn't exactly do nothing; they contained the riots to certain areas and the British Army was on standby incase things escalated.

  • @TheUlfarnator

How people forget that is beyond me.

  • @TheUlfarnator so how comes it isn't still an empire? :(

  • @TheUlfarnator Yeeees :D No, you don't :D you lost everything.

  • @TheUlfarnator its not much, but it's alright

  • @rogargaro15 too bad, I truly admire the British. a great nation and great people.

  • @rogargaro15

Don't be proud of the empire. It was an empire of opression, exploitation and agression.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheWanderingPariah

Well, but then the question arises: "what is the surplus value of an empire?" Do people really become happier when they are conquered or live within an empire? There is much historical evidence to suggest the conterary.

Why should you suggest that we should be ashamed of humanity itself? I think it is not so much a thing of humanity as it is a thing of class society. We should be "ashamed" of class society and rid ourselves from it.

  • @DeHeld8 Of course not, who would be pleased to become victims of war or annexation? I am simply stating that it has been this way for centuries, most regrettably, yet irrefutably so. Honestly, though, your closing point is moot, as I share your core ideals. To be rid of class society would likely prove to aid in creating a world and a people united. I am ashamed, as modern life in the first world has become centered around crony capitalism. But even that, is a creation of humanity.

  • @DeHeld8 I only imply that success in building a major empire has yet to have been found without a foundation of sweat and tears of an oppressed people. I do challenge you to give me an example, it would put me at ease.

  • @DeHeld8 Actually no. Most British investment was in N & S America followed by Australia, and S Africa. A leading British historian described it as "A useless ragbag of territory, a political, economic and strategic liability. Territories were only taxed enough to pay for the British administration whose main task was to stop the oppressed population killing each other. Quite pointless really unlike the Dutch,French and Belgians who were a good deal more rational.

  • @DeHeld8 In S Africa for example many Zulus were happy to live under the racist British. The British did not stick 3M sharpened poles up their backsides when they were insulted. Nor did they order the people to starve or kill 100's for failing to show sufficient grief when the Queen died - unlike their own King Shaka. They could also marry when they wished and the British Police protected them from cattle raiders. This cost each family 10 cents a year which some Zulus thought a fair deal.

  • @DeHeld8 As you are Dutch you will be aware of the aggressive war against the Boers in S Africa. The following approximate quote from a young war correspondent might be interesting; "The trouble between Briton and Boer is not our defeat at Majuba or the Transvaal gold and diamonds but treatment of the blacks. To us they are fellow human brings who however primitive must be treated with some decency but to them they are beasts of burden provided to by Almighty God" - Winston Churchill age 25.

  • @DeHeld8 You might be interested to know that the first Boers revolt against the British in the 1840's was caused when British Police tried to arrest a Dutch farmer for killing one of his African laborers. As you see there are different kinds of oppression

  • @freebeerfordworkers

Well it is obvious that the boers were racist biggots... but you don't really believe that the British empire was an empire of benovelance and protection of poor native people do ya?

  • @DeHeld8 You assume there is a universal good “anti-imperialism or bad “imperialism” but things are relative. An educated Indian in 1930 is excluded from the top of the government so he is “oppressed” A Zulu farmer in 1860 who can marry without killing an enemy, is not ordered to starve, with no chance of the British pushing a 3M pole pushed up his backside considers them “benevolent”.

When he learns about western society & the possibilities of capitalism he will he consider he is “oppressed”.

  • @DeHeld8 The British Empire was like a collection of village shops owned by someone who called occasionally to see everything was OK. Run run with minimum interference from London, minimum interference in the natives lives & as economical as possible. It was more a case of mission creep than anything & too long to contain in 500 characters. Some acquisitions were disgraceful (Hong Kong-base for drug smugglers) Some honorable (West Africa -base to suppress slavery)

    Some accidental - Natal

  • @DeHeld8 In 1870 there was a 6 week delay in news from the Cape & when London found the Governor of Natal had declared war on the Zulus they went berserk. By then a British force had been massacred & public opinion forced them to continue with the occupation.

  • @DeHeld8 What is Imperialism? In India the British displaced muslim imperialists & modern Hindus admit they were better masters. If a Hindu married an English girl she was a social outcast. If he married a muslim they would murder him & probably his whole family.

In 1948 Nehru, a British educated lawyer with an administration & army inherited from the British invaded Hydrabad. A state 1000 miles from Delhi that Britain had left virtually independent & wanted to stay that way. Not Imperialism?

  • @DeHeld8 I am not so sure about the Dutch territories but I read the Indonesians have occupied former Dutch colonies to which they had no more right than Holland. Some of these were quite happy to remain under the loose (benevolent?) control of Holland or Portugal. In East Timor Between 1975-2002 the Indonesians carried out the worst genocide since the holocaust 700k killed – do they care who screams “imperialist” at them? Surely the Timorese must consider the Portuguese benevolent?

  • @DeHeld8 Well didn't all empires did that back in their heyday too? Well I know they did so stop blaming Britain.

  • @gangstersteve1993

Indeed, all empires did in their heyday. And I disgust all the empires. I'm dutch but strongly distance myself from the dutch "golden age" (aka the age when Holland plundered the world and all the riches were taken to Amsterdam). I'm not picking on Britain in particular.

  • @DeHeld8 and even Holland tried invading England too but failed. To be quite frank I like the British Empire just because we intrducted loads of everyday items like the telephone :D

  • @gangstersteve1993 and im not smiling about the Dutch lost by the way ( just so then it didn't look offending)

  • @rogargaro15 Just because the Empire has gone doesn't mean this country has to be shit though. Japan, an island nation that had a expansive, imperialist empire had two nukes dropped on it and look at what they did, became the world's second biggest economy. I'm not gonna go into a rant about immigration because truth be told I don't think it has all that big an impact on the overall economic standing of a country, and Britain's always been immigrated to. It's just bad management.

  • @BillThompson1955 Yes, It is a combination of the Flags of Britain, Ireland, and Scotland.

The blue background and white X is Scotland. The white and red cross is England. And the White and red X is Ireland.

  • For Great Britain! For Canada! For Austrailia! and foe all our allies!

  • @ThePHOXman Sorry I can't hear about how much good the Americans have done over the screaming civilians who have been but at risk because of you trying to prove your 'superiority'. Christ you were never like that either you were to chicken shit to join WW1 or WW2 straight away which I think is pointless. Britain, Canada, Australia fuck even France has a bigger claim to their countries superiority than that piece of stolen dirt U.S.A.
