The Master rocks! I mean, yeah he was totally evil and mad- but he still rocked. One mistake made by the producers though was that- if the Doctor is 900 years old, another 100 years wouldn't make all that difference....

1) each time the doctor regenerates, his age changes

2) with the 7th doctor, it was hinted at that he was one of the first timelords.

timelords don't age, they will stay at the physical age they regenerate into for many years without ageing. what the master did was show what the doctor would look like if he did age.

No, they do age. They just age much slower. A average Gallifreyan lifespan is 450 years. So for every 4-5 years, he ages only one. Think how dog years are to us. We live in dog years while the Time Lords live in human years kind of thing, if that metaphor makes any sense.

School Reunion, the Doc said "I don't age". They live longer than 450, the Doc is over 900 and I think the Master is a little older than him. As mountlandlass said, I think its only their first regeneration which ages (but very slowly like you said).
